Have you ever suffered a closed head injury resulting in amnesia?

I have....I was in a car accident in 2003. A truck hit me in my driver's door of my Buick. I had my seatbelt on but it broke, I hit the window next to me, the front window and the passenger window with my head. I was taken to the hospital. I was in the ER, and out in the hallway from noon till almost midnight that night and I do not remember any of it. I have a few flashes of memory from that time frame but that is it. It is a very odd feeling to have lost that time. I could not remember what day/month/year it was, where I lived, if my bf and I were dating, where I worked, what I was doing when the accident happened, what happened to my car, when was my date of birth or anything. It was freaky. My boyfriend was worried, but after a few days I got better and better. My hip and back and neck and head hurt really really bad. I was really scared to drive again, and my car was totaled so I had to get a new one. The funny part was that I was on my lunch break from work and never came back from lunch. They all got freaked out. Then a couple years later, I got in another accident on the same road during my lunch break, but it was very minor.
