Does what you do mean as much as what you feel?

I notice here on mylot we talk a lot about what we feel, so it started me wondering are feelings as important as deeds? Or is just on mylot that you feel comfortable enough to express what you feel and to bring up descussions on feelings? I know that I feel that way, I can discuss what I do with almost anyone but feelings are another matter.

Well after all, feelings are more personal. Most people are taught to keep them to themselves, so many people are uncomfortable talking about them. But feelings are important. Much of what we do is based upon what we feel.

I often wonder if I practice all I preach. I would like to think that I do but isn’t it much easier to write about it and than actually doing it? I know that if somebody needs advice I can come out with absolute pearls of wisdom but I admit that when it comes to my own life I am not always so wise! I think that everybody’s feelings are important no matter what they are and our actions indeed so speak louder than any words we could ever type here.

More than anything else I think this is a matter of point of view. It's easier to give wise advice about something for which you have no emotional involvement. As soon as your emotions are part of the problem, it is much harder to stand back and look at the whole. This is one reason why mylot friends are so helpful, if you present a problem here you will get many points of view so that you can judge the problem better. Blessings

Hey pat~ I don't have a problem discussing my feelings with anyone, anytime, anywhere! I am just a very open straight forward person! And sometimes it gets me into some really big trouble!lol I have a habit of saying too much, being too crass at times, but whatever I am honest about what I say to a fault!

I think you are one of very few who feel free to express just how they feel. Congratulations. Thanks

I guess I am a little more open with my feelings here. I have to be strong for my kids and project a certain image because of my position at work. This is my place to be myself. I am at home too, but I may be a little more guarded where my kids are concerned.

I am this way, too. It's easier to be forth-coming online about feelings than it is, for me, with people I see in person. There are very few I am that comfortable with. Opening up leaves us so vulnerable. Karen

That is one of the best feature in mylotting online. We don't have to be so emotional in our discussion because before we write we have to refine it in our mind. That way I feel that it can be more logical and in stable state. Discussing online can be a good therapy for solving our many problems because we can discuss about almost anything without concerning the perspective of other people towards us. Happy mylotting to you.
