I am for universal healthcare. I think everyone, not just those who can afford it, should be able to live a long and healthy life, with preventative medical care. As far as the current bill is, I would like them to adopt it into policy, by whatever means, and then tweak it. I think it should tax the top wealthy, and I think that it should protect women's rights in the bill.

I was born in America, and now living in Europe as I have married a local national. I fall under her health care plan which in Germany is a Universal healthcare plan. I will tell you it is so great to go to the doctor and not worry about how im going to afford paying them. They even have great incentive programs, like if you go and get a full body check up they give you 50 euros, Only if America would have adopted the 2nd bill of rights by FDR.. then We The People would not be in the position we are in. I agree with you...

Did you see Michael Moore's new movie about capitalism? He mentions FDR's new bill of rights in it. The incentive program sounds great! How the taxes work in Germany for healthcare?

No I haven't had the time to sit down and watch it yet, but im sure its great. As far as the tax question, I am not a 100% sure of how much they get taxed, although my wife and I were having this discussion 3 days ago. I believe 30% of what she make in a year is taxed, and when tax season rolls around they either owe a little or they get just a little back, they dont get these unheard of amounts of money like the americans do during tax season. I still love my America, I just want to see change that will do the people good, and not just the ones looking for a profit, but I doubt that will happen
