What type of international cuisine do you enjoy eating? What kind do you like to cook? As for me, I like to eat both Italian (my absolute favorite) and also Mexican. And I can cook both of these to a certain extent, but my cooking of them is far from perfect. I'm growing as a cook with the international cuisines every time I try to cook them. Share your experiences please.

If iI have to choose, then I take Chinese food first of all, I love it we have a great resturant that has all you can eat for 8 bucks and I love going there. Next would be Mexican, either one will do me when I'm looking for something that is not in the ordinary every day menu. I also like Italian food, but it has to have some spice to it, I find that a lot of the Italian in resturants have no flavor in the sauce.

I completely agree with you about the flavor in the sauce at Italian restaurants. That is the reason that there is only one that I will eat at locally. I enjoy a Chinese buffet every now and then and there are so many good Mexican restaurants close to where we live.

You are quite welcome for the best response, I chose to give it to you because you described what you like about the different cuisines.

I do make Italian food and Mexican food. I love making my own Spaghetti Sauce and making tacos. I like eating pasta and making home made pizza. It is so much cheaper than buying pizza. I am always looking for ways to save money with the bad economy. Italian food is my favorite too. My husband is not too big on Mexican food so I try not to make it that often.

We used to go out to eat all the time, but when we realized that money was tight, we started cooking for ourselves a whole lot more. It has helped me to broaden my cooking horizons and also has helped us to save a lot of money. All of this talk about food is making me hungry and I guess I'll have to look for some new recipes to try.

I like Italian the best...and then Mexican or Spanish food. They make a nice change of pace, and many have truly become pretty common in the American diet :) As far as cooking them I do okay, but I have to leave out some of spices or use lesser amounts or ouch! I'll get a stomach ache. Karen

Italian was always my very favorite growing up as well. But now, I am actually difficult to impress when it comes to the Italian food that I will eat. When I was a teenager I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and now most of the commercial Italian food that I can find is a disappointment to me.

I've eaten some Indian food before and I really enjoyed what we had (it's been a while though, so I can't remember exactly what I ate). I'm curious, what are the main differences between Northern Indian cuisine and Southern Indian Cuisine?

I enjoy eating many international cuisines, including Indian, Thai, Mexican (& Tex-Mex), Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Italian, Brazilian, and German. I have a favorite Indian restaurant at which I always order the same spinach dish (saag paneer), medium spicy, and vegetable samosas. I also enjoy a sushi roll that a local Japanese restaurant makes with salmon, cream cheese, and a gooseberry sauce that tastes just like a bagel on Sunday morning. Amazing!

I've not tried all of the cuisines that you've mentioned, but as I've become older I've become a more adventurous eater and I'd love to find places to expand my eating horizons even more.
