well yes i agree. the 100th test is special for them and they won that in style. i mean not only did they dominated the sri lankan team completly, but they did everything to win the match with pride. they gave the follow on which is very insulting for any team. and then also indian bowlers were fresh and did a good job which is generally not the case. all in all a splendid performance.

Under the smart, wise, insightful and cool captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India managed to win its 100th Test match. This win came when India won the second Test of the three Test series of the Jaypee Cup against Sri Lanka at Kanpur. With this win India is 1-0 up in the series. Before this, the countries who have won hundred or more Tests are Australia as usual at the top here too with 332 Test wins. England, who still hasn’t won any World Cup, follow Australia with 310 wins. Two time World Cup winners West Indies are the third with 152 wins and South Africa follow next with 120 wins. Out of the sub-continent Test playing nations, only Pakistan had won more than 100 matches. Pakistan are the next with 103 wins. These countries have been century makers in the list of Test matches won. And now the latest member to join this elite group is Team India. To win this 100th Test, India had to play 432 Test matches. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is proving to be fantastic as a captain for India. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, since he became one in 2008, India has not lost even a single Test match. Dhoni’s counterpart, Kumar Sangakkara, too had something alike to share. Before playing the Kanpur Test, Sangakkara had played six Tests as captain. Out of these six Tests, he had won four and drawn two. But the win under Dhoni not only kept his sides and his personal record intact, but on the contrary he undid Sangakkara’s record. As for this Kanpur Test to speak of, India won this Test by an innings and 144 runs. India would like to keep the momentum going and would like to keep the rhythm going of the win that they have achieved which is quite admirable.
