What is the story behind your user name?

I've been amused by many people who responds on my discussions and asks me about my user name. So now, I felt the need to explain why... I chose "invisiblelady" because I like to be invisible. I always want to play roles behind the scene. For example, if I'm going to work in a theater, I would like to be the curtain raiser or the light technician--I don't want to be on the spotlight. I've also wanted to become an agent--an undercover agent or a spy, always working underground. I don't want to be famous. I just want my works to be appreciated without making people realize that it's just me! So, how about you? Why did you chose to use that username of yours?

Well, MJ are the initials of my real first and middle name, Dakota is my dream truck. Dodge Dakota, quad cab in emerald green preferred, but I'll go with blue too. : ) I chose my username because I wanted to protect my identity, but at the same time want to be a "person" and myself. I use this one and only username, it is more than a username for me, it is my pen name. I write a blog and articles on Xomba and hope to one day make writing my final career. To help me on that path, I created the pen name as "the" name for my future.

Oh! That is cool. I hope you could tell me if you've published a book so I can read it. I am a frustrated writer.... Hopefully I'll be able to publish my own book too! Anyway, nice username. I thought you are a fan of Michael Jordan :)

I do not have a book published now, but will definately jump and yell, "I did it!" for all to hear when it happens. : ) I hope to hear your yells of delight in the future too!

Oh my! I got excited about that yelling thing! Of course when a writer was able to publish a book, no one can ever imagine what his/her reaction could be! Hehehe

Hi invisible! It is interesting to note that you want to work behind the curtain and you love anonymity. I think your choice must be respected, if you do not want to reveal about yourself. My user name is not extra-ordinary. When I joined mylot, I did not know the importance of a user name. I just typed abbreviated version of my first name along with some random letters. Later on when I saw colorful and interesting user name and interacted with others, I came to know the importance of a screen name. I do not mind sharing my first name with my friends. deepak

Yeah, some peolple don't mind either. But there are also people, like me, who thinks hard before signing up. I have signed on different sites in the internet. And selecting a username to use is one of the hardest parts ever... I do not want it to be just like that. I want my username to be somewhat like me. I want to show a personality in it. And with that, people who I came to interact with won't forget me. :P LOL.

Very cool story about how you came up with your user name. I wish that I had something like that to share about mine. But, I don't have any such story. How my user name that I use for all forums that I am on has come to be is all that I have. I wanted to have something that I would always remember so it seemed like my first name would be a good choice then I added my middle initial. Originally it was the first three letters of my maiden name. However, then I got married and my user name changed. It's now my firstname middleinitial firstthreeoflastname. Everything that I do online is like this except for my email addy which is still the same as it was before I was married.

Wow... That is so easy. I often think hard for my username to be used for the sites i'm on. but then I end up having common names because i can't think harder. you have chosen a username that's so easy for you to remember. nice!

Hi! There is no such a long story about my nick name. As you maybe already conjecture, it comes from captain Nemo's submarine "Nautilus" and 33 ist just so, because the first time I tried to register with that nick, "nautilus" was already taken and I choose nautilus33. because I like how it looks. this nick name occured to me, after I watched the movie "The league of the extraordinary gentlemen", because there is captain Nemo's submarine and I liked that name.

I am like you. I have been always a behind-the-curtain person. I love anonymously. . I appreciate your user name. As for me, mimpi is my pet name and while registering they wanted a six or more letter word. So, I added my birth date.

Hello Madam. Rest assured. Your work here on myLot is very much appreciated too. The story behind my user name ? Well. it is very simple ! Green is my favorite color. It makes me feel refreshed and relaxed. That's why I chose the name "greenline". In fact, many things in my house are also of different shades of green color.

I had been doing a lot of things on the Internet, going to forums, etc., long before I discovered Mylot and I learned that for safety it is best to keep your true identity hidden. Because of that I have several user names for various types of places. I chose one for here that just out and out indicated I was hiding my identity.

Oh yeah... I have different usernames too! I'm only using "invisiblelady" here in mylot...
