I've always used Windows, which really frustrates me. I'd much rather use open-source software, but I've been too lazy to sort it out... That, and most other OS are tricky to use with (most) games. I think, the next time that I buy a computer (or laptop), that I'll have it pre-installed with a different OS!

I use the Windows Xp. It is very easy to use, and all programs, and games are avaliable to windows xp. It is the OS more fast in the world and i recomend this. Mas is very dificult to use, so i dont like mac.

Yes you are correct, windows7 looks like an upgraded version windows xp. And it is user friendly. But i have heard there are some problems in windows7,where some of the softwares are can't installed in windows7. I was not sure but my friends told me.

I really wouldn't recommend Windows Xp for future use. Why? Well, soon companies will stop developing drivers for that Operating System. If you think that Xp is great wait till you try Windows 7. It's like an upgraded version of Xp, only better. Try it, you wouldn't regret it.

I still like to use Windows XP. I haven't tried other operating system besides Windows. My colleague bought a new computer from Dell and it was installed Windows 7 already. However, she didn't like this new operating system and she didn't want to spend time to adjust to it. So I installed Windows XP for her at last. I love China

Hi, How about Linux? Linux is such an operating system whose source code is open for everyone who wants to get to. I think Linux is very fit for server application while Windows is fit for desktop.

Since I have a PC, I always use Windows. I upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP and I'm really enjoying it. Everything runs so much faster and there are a lot of great features.

Windows 7 wins me over. It's like XP, but an upgraded version of it. It certainly leaves Vista more than a mile behind its technology and stability. It runs most of application that were designed on XP without any problem, unlike Vista that won't have anything running on it correctly. Even if you have problems running certain applications on Windows 7, usually by enabling the compatibility mode the problem is fixed. Problem still not fixed? Then run it in XPMode, a virtual operating system that run side-by-side Windows 7. Windows 7 is also light on the resources it use, so computers from 3 to 4 years back can also run it smoothly, unlike Vista that hogs up all the resources available and doesn't seem to release them even though it didn't use it. Ah, I just couldn't stop loving Windows 7! :-) I've tried other OS's, namely Linux. There's nothing really that bad about it, but I couldn't bring myself to use it as my main OS. Why? Well, I'm a gamer, and games are developed to run on Windows operating system, so that's a no-no for me. Furthermore, there's kind of lack of driver support when I last use it, which is 4 years before. If there are more games developed and more manufactures providing driver support, than I may consider migrating. Until then, I'll just stick with Windows.

I am currently using Windows 7 on the desktop, Windows Vista on the laptop and Ubuntu 9.10 via a 16 Gb flash drive. I am quite happy with each of these operating systems.I have used various Linux distributions in the past such as Xandros, Slackware, Mandriva etcetera, all of which are fine but do have some differences. It is simply a matter of preference for the individual user.

For years I have used Windows XP since it looked nice enough and was quite fast and easy to use. Plus there wasnt that much demand on the CPU. Windows Vista came along and I HATED it!! It was slow and most of the time the programs were stalling, frozen or not responding at all....*breaks stress toy* But Ive got to admit the style of the OS was quite nice and WAY more user friendly than XP. But I whipped it off my laptop and did a dual boot with XP and Vista! Happy days. Best of Both Worlds! Then Windows 7 came along and I LOVE it! Its really the speed of XP with the ease of use and user friendliness and beautiful style of Windows Vista. And guess what "Windows 7 was my idea" :-P I've never used linux or Mac in my life. I would like to experience them sometime though :-)

Right now, I still go for the Windows XP, I will just have to wait for further reviews with windows 7 before switching. Mac OS are also stable OS, lesser problem with viruses but have some shares of viruses but not as quite as Windows have.
