I used to try over the counter items like creams and compounds hoping that would help elieviate some or all of the pain. However, the best I ever got out of them was a tingle, and or some warmth which wasn't much help. I have found dealing with back pain that the best was to use an ice pack, and lay down for a while. I hate the feeling of the ice pack at first because of the cold, but after a few minutes I could feel the inflamation start to fade. Not to mention when laying with the ice pack it makes you sleepy. Sometimes I would add 2 aspirin, or ibuprofen which also helps. What works for you?

I don't know. Typing on the computer really makes my back hurt. That's why I type on the computer, so my back will hurt! I am so kidding. I don't do it so my back will hurt. That is dumb. Anyway. I wouldn't use a cream except that they are OK. They won't work. Also the best thing you can do is pay for a massage. This is the best relaxing thing. It is relaxing because it is relaxing. When you get into the room it's great. You will get attacked by wonder women chilling you. Do this. Also listen to soft music because it will help relax you. Also, think positive thoughts, especially a mantra. Positive thoughts will create your day in ways you will not know. It will benefit. I wouldn't take pain killers. This doesn't solve the problem. !

Massages are way too expensive, and the only time I get them is on a cruise ship so it puts me in vacation mode. I have used chirprctors in the past and they have been very helpful. The best help I ever received was from a Shiatsu practioner, they do a very agressive massage called accu-pressure. It hurts when you are receiving the treatment but wow does it ever work. However, like massages it's expensive.

I have a really bad back pain at the moment. I believe it is due to gym. I often don't make exercises to the lower parts of the body (legs lol) and every time I do, I get this insane back pain. I believe the better thing to do is not spend the whole day sit in the computer chair, go outside, go to a massage house or so on.

maybe, you had never warming up before doing exercises.. my advice is if you work a lot of sitting, get used every one hour you stand and do stretching the legs and waist. hopefully a speedy recorvery.
