With all the leftovers from Thanksgiving, I thought I would prepare a turkey pot pie. It sounds so good with the cold weather. Does anyone have a recipe they would like to share? Thanks in advance!!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING, I don't go by a recipe but i can tell u what i di &maybe that will help. i will tell u up front that they freeze real well. I always make an extra one to go in the freezer to cook for later on. cut up your turkey ,add veggies, chicken broth, can of cream soup[chicken , celery, mushroom], salt , pepper, a little onion & i always add a little curry powder. put in your baking dish, take a thawed frozen pie crust, cut in strips & put that on top of the meat & veg concoction & bake in oven till brown & bubbly.350 degrees. I f u have any questions, pm me. GOOD LUCK.

Thank you, I will give that a try. That sounds pretty easy to do! Just put the pie crust and the cream of chicken soup on my grocery list. I have some fresh carrots in the refrigerator and some frozen green peas to add to it and some corn. I already have some onions too. Great idea in doubling it. I like to have quick meals on hand for emergencies! I think chicken pot pie is a perfect dinner for the winter time!

Hello kareng (3581) I don't have a recipe, but I read an article in the paper today that suggested: Put gravy in the bottom of a pan the size you will need according to the amount of your leftovers. Then layer turkey slices, mashed potatoes, vegetables, etc. or whatever you have left; maybe stuffing as well. Then another layer, and after you have all your ingredients layered pour another layer of gravy over the top. You can freeze it for later, or meal the next day or --- whatever. I had never thought of this, and thought maybe you could put a layer of pie crust in the bottom & on top when finished layering. I always just made turkey soup, with the carcass as I am a soup lover of any kind. I hope this gives you an idea about leftovers. Arlene

No, I don't. But I thought I'd at least drop by and say it is nice to see you again. I haven't gotten a discussion notification from you in quite a while.
