I made a wreath today

I was looking at a magazine I get - called Ready Made - but the picture online isn't the one I got so I can't share the pix - but its on the cover of the December/January 2010 issue.
Its for a Styrofoam ring with string wrapped around it some little leaves made out of brillo and scot brand leaves and buttons for berries, all sprayed white.
Now, my door is white, why would I put a white wreath on my white door?
But I did have a Styrofoam wreath laying around, so I grabbed some ribbon I had gotten years ago, some pins and made my own version of this wreath.
You will see it attached below.
So, you ever see anything in a magazine and think - "I could make that!"? I do...

You are a very creative and crafy person, Elic. I wished that I could make something like this.. I had a best friend in sixth grade that was very crafty. She knew how to make and design many things. She used to go home and make them, then she would bring one to give me. I thought that she was very sweet!

U are mighty smart to do that. I use to be smart but i got over it, lol. I don't have any imagination when it comes to knowing how things will look ahead of time.

LOL It's beautiful Elic!! Yesssss I saw the picture and thought I'd come here and respond. You're a bit artsy crafty, aren't you?! lol I am too apparently but didn't know it till I got married 18 years ago and had to save as much as we could and make our own flower arrangements which turned out right nice! lol I've made some flower arrangements for my parents place and made a couple for myself too, one for the summer and spring and another for fall and winter. All of them turned out right pretty! I'm impressed with my self!! LOL Maybe I should make them and try to sell them somewhere?

I see things I think I could make but then I think about how much it's going to cost me if I don't have alot of the supplies on hand. Money is tight and I have to justify buying stuff more than I'd like to do.

Nice work! I’ve just checked out the picture. Are you proud? I hope so because that is a really nice Christmas wreath. I am not into crafty things like that, it’s not that I don’t like them I just don’t have the patience and, just like my recipes things never turn out how they look in the magazine! I think that being able to create things like that is a bit of a gift; you either have it, like you, or you don’t, like me!
