Tiger Woods about to be devoured by the media

Here it goes. Tiger Woods has one of the best images among the media and now that him and his wife are refusing to answer to the media with their own statement as to what has happened the media is not happy! Oh my god, I'll just be shocked if Tiger Woods loses his career out of this, it was Thanksgiving night i think and theirs suspicion it could be alcohol related, thankfully they did put question off and he was not tested as far as I know (not even a question according to reports) so all should be well but the media has a appetite for blacklisting celebrities and are very good at doing it. We saw what happened to Olympic Swimmer Micheal Phelps how quickly he went down. Do you think Woods is the exception?

I hope he does not lose his golfing career over this. The media likes to give information about events before they have all the facts they can not wait as they do not want another media station to beat them out of a story. The story I did hear was that he might be having an affair and his wife scratch him. He then left his house she came out with a golf club and hit is car. He started to leave and hit a fire hydrant and then the neighbor tree.

I guess there is an affair going on. I had hoped that finally there was a sports figure in the spotlight that could be a good example for our kids but I should know better. We should quit idolizing people and holding them up for admiration just because they are famous or good at something. Then we wouldn't be disappointed. I'm not a Woods fan, wasn't a Phelps fan--in fact, I don't really hold anyone up because they are just doing the job they have chosen. But I know that young people do and there are no hero figures who give a crap how they influence the young.

thats how i felt when the news came, oh what a surprise, the media has to admit their spokesman isnt behind human powers, my god. So much pressure it puts on Hollywood and i think especially women--dont even think on putting on a Centimeter because no ones having it!

If this was anyone else that wasn't famous this wouldn't be happening! I think that Tiger Woods and his wife shouldn't have to go in front of the media to explain themselves! I think it is uncalled for and I don't think Tiger was drunk when he had the accident! Did anyone think maybe there was a mechanical problem with the suv? Maybe Tiger just lost uncontrol of the suv? I don't think this accident will hurt Tiger. I just can't see that! I hope this ends soon! It is getting out of hand!

Hello Revellanotvanella. I think people like the press should keep their noses out of peoples lives. I think that if people would stop and realize that celebrities are just people and want to live their lives in private. If I was a celebrity I wouldn't want anyone to know my business. I think Tiger Woods is a good guy and he don't deserve any more bull from the media. People should let decent people live their lives the way they want to live and leave them alone. Tiger was probably tired and fell asleep behind the wheel. He worked hard to get where he is I think he is a decent guy and needs a break from the media.

If he loses his job, thats just ignorant and the media paying attention to that is just dumb, he just got in a car crash...wheres the sympothy? And if it was any person who wasn't famous they wouldn't be paying this much attention to it.

I think this is one of the biggest non-stories of the year. Who relly gives a flying crap that he had a fender-bender, or an affair for that matter. I mean seriously, has the news notbing better to cover... like say two wars, healthcare, congressmen and women taking bribes from higher -ups, etc?

revellanotvanella, This is really another tabloid episode and it is just being spiced up by an affair allegation at the background. I feel the world especially the golfing fraternity are in a state of shock at what had happened to one of the world's greatest golf phenomena. In my opinion, I just felt that there's nothing other than a mere family dispute and the National Enquirer being the main catalyst here. I do not think there is be any permanent physical injury on Woods to affect his golfing career. But whether he will be mentally fit for the Chevron will be everyone's concern. I am not really against freedom of speech but I felt the recent reporting by National Enquirer to be disgusting and distasteful. I wish something could be done for such irresponsible reporting of the press. I do not think this is any indication to Woods's career. I just hope that his family especially his wife would not be greatly affected by loose gossips. P.S. As for Phelps, I do not think his swimming career is over as he is just trying to make a statement about the controversial high tech swimsuits presently being used in the meets before they are being banned next year. He is making a statement by not wearing it for the recent 2 swimming meets to prove a point that these suits have questionable performance enhancement qualities for the user.

I don't know anything aobut his wife but i do know CNN did a little 'inside the life of' Tiger Woods' wife the next day the story broke and i didn't stick around to watch it, seemed so viscious of them to go there before all facts were out.

well if he has broke the law then am afraid he should face the situation if it costs him his golf status then he only has himself to blame. Also I think its shocking that he isnt talking to the police if it was me or you we wouldnt have a choice we would have to give a statement to the police straight away. Just shows you one rule for normal people and another for the so called celebrities. As for the media blacklisting celebrities they only have themselves to blame if they are in the public spotlight ie tiger woods then they have to be cleaner than white and not give the media any chance to blacklist them.
