like when we were kids, we used to be excited about christmas, because its party time, and when its party time we had exchanged gift. kids were excited about exchange gifts. not minding whether the gift is cheap or not, so long as there was a gift, we were happy and exited about it back then. now that life has changed a bit, i am quite older now, my perspective about receiving and giving change as well. but the excitement is still there. friends out there, let me ask you.. is there a difference in your christmas feelings now and before? are you still excited to give your gift? are you looking forward to receiving one? what's you opinion?

Same as you, I was also excited when christmas comes when I was still a child. And you are right, it is the gifts that excites me most. Right now, Christmas is still special of course but I'm not anymore thrilled like the way I feel before. I'm just happy when christmas comes because my family and other relatives will get together and of course the foods are great!

Hi, alex. I was very excited when I was younger. But when I found out who Santa Claus really is, I was no longer excited. As of now, I am not excited. I am still trying to get over from The Thanksgiving holidays. In a couple of weeks, maybe two weeks I will start to get excited. But when it comes to my kids, I am very excited about Christmas. The older I get, I am not as excited as I used to be. Just for my kids...

my 12 year old daughter is excited about christmas and not just for presents either but being together with family, but as for me, christmas is so much work which pretty much falls to me as the mom...(shopping, decorating, wrapping, along with my real job and my part time one at home) i find it very stressful.

Cheer up Cher, so long as we can make little ones happy, all stress i think will fade away. Christmas time also is a time to loosen up, so let the stress stress itself. good luck :-)

I find Christmas to still be an exciting time. It is one of my favorite holidays. I think that Chrisymas was more special to me though when my children were younger. Still, I am always anxious for Christmas to arrive.

Yes, I still excited about Christmas, and why should I don't? Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and i like it very much. I love to decorate the Christmas tree, the rooms, to buy and make gifts for my beloved people and I also love to get gifts.. Since I was a small child I love this holiday. I still remember how the how family gathered together around the table on the Christmas day, the fun we had, the gifts and all the things we made on Christmas. And now when I'm not with them( I live in another city)I am a little bit sad, when I remember these days. This year I will not have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with my relatives, but the New Year we gather all together!!!

I still enjoy Christmas. Mainly thats because I have a daughter who loves Christmas. I love choosing and giving gifts to her. She loves all the cecorations. She has spent hours setting up the Christmas lights. I also enjoy buying gifts for my parents. This year we are going to a carols by candlelight run by our nearby Church. On Christmas Day we are going to my brothers house for a big roast. There will be 15 people present.

This Year in particular I am excited, the past few not so much. My family still has good times regardless, but this year, we all can actually afford to give each other gifts. My mother will finally be getting her disability check so she can pay off her medical bills, and all other bills for that matter. This will be a good Christmas for my family :)

Well, I'm still excited to have Christmas even though I don't get gifts anymore or don't receive a lot of money. I'm just excited because of the occasion, a lot of people sharing what they have, colorful lights every where, good news are roaming around, and a lot more. It's just I feel peaceful when there's Christmas.

Hi Alexybelle, This is actually the first Christmas since I was little that I am excited about. Normally I don't care much for Christmas since I am not a materialistic person so spending money on someone and getting money back seems a touch pointless. But this year I am exchanging stories with a great friend I have made online and knowing that she is going to be reading my words while I read hers, and hopefully knowing that she will be laughing and cringing the right places just brings a joy to my heart that makes this Christmas more special than the others and brings that childhood joy back since for once I can't predict what is going to happen as I don't know what she will write! So yea, I am looking forward to this Christmas All the best, Dranz

Yes I am but not that excited anymore compare when I was still a kid. Because before, I was so excited in receiving gifts and going into parties. Right now, I worry about the gifts I need to give...hahaha But, I am still excited and I love Christmas day!

Of course I'm always excited about Christmas. It's a time of joy because the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, is born. It's a great wonder, God gives His only Son to save the world from evil boundaries. Christmas is also a great time because it's time for my family to gather. We'll go to church together where I'll also meet my old friends. Gifts always be good part of Christmas. But spending time together with my family and friends will be the best part of it.
