my opinion on a good cricketer is he should have a good sportsmen ship and he should play a fair game play he should have a good fitness he should respect his team players as well as the oponents players and he should respect the umpires discussion and the most important thing is he should play well and play for the team

Sportsman ship is required in each and every sport whether it is cricket or.. when it comes particular to cricket then there are qualities that differ based on one's bowler or batsman.. for bowler it may be aggression or can say controlled aggression, keeping in mind Sresanth one can think of what being over aggressive can do to you..lol. When comes to batting one needs cool head, good temprament.. and good hand eye coordination.. One can look up to Sachin for that matter, he possess every trait thats needed to be a good batsman..

my reading your question I got remembered Chak De Movie sentence:
"Player first should play first for Country not for their state.
He should play for the team and then for other team members and still enregy left then for himself"
This sentence correspond to crickets also.

Ya i really appreciate all the points that you have given regarding a qualities of a good criketer. without these qualities no one achieve anything in their life. If he is polite then he can rule the game
