Riga is a Latvia's capital and a Art Nouveau Metropolis. Art Nouveau Styles falls under several branches - Eclectic, Romanticized, Decorative and Vertical.More then a third buildings in the center of Riga are in Art Nouveau Style. There is hardly any city in the world, that can boast as many Art Nouveau buildings in one area. You can find very great Art Nouveau paintings collection in the Latvian National Museum of art.

I took my toddler son to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in 2008. We flew on a plane to Riga. I really liked the beautiful architecture there. The Art Nouveau style was great to see. We came across a lovely little park that we had some picnics in. We went to some of the interesting museums. I like Latvia and recommend it as a destination for people that like a fascinating capital city and pretty countryside.

I live in England in the UK. I really love traveling to different countries. Whilst I was in Latvia I met some people from Australia. Latvia makes a lovely summer time destination. I went to a beach and it had benches plus bins on it. I visited a castle in the countryside.
