I have a few favorite ways to watch a movie and/or a tv show on DVD. The best way for me is to have it dark with no light, and the sound turned up as high as I can do it without disturbing anyone. That way, it feels a bit like sitting in the theater. Of course, for certain films I like to make comments and such. On that note, my friends and I have a special way of viewing Harry Potter films on the occasions where we all manage to get together for a party. Taking our cues from the many FanFiction stories that are on the Internet that have to do with Harry's parents and their friends reading the books, we use some of our own jokes and such to relieve tension. It helps us all relax quite a bit, especially if we're really stressed out. We don't do it as often as we used to, but that's mainly because there has been quite a lot going on in our lives. I think its also one of those things that only the real die-hard Harry Potter fans could really do, since I'm sure a few people that read this post are gonna say 'JDBentz, you're insane'. For movies like Star Wars or Independence Day or Stargate, I prefer to be alone in the house so that I can pay attention to what there is of the plot. For the latter two, its more the characterizations of people in the story, since ID4 and Stargate are mainly 'end of the world films', which appears to be Roland Emmerich's specialty.

renting from Redbox, of course. Usually we get movies for the whole family to watch. Then usually we have ice cream or popcorn, depending on our mood. Our puppy gets into the animal noises also. Kristina and I are watching the new Tinker Bell movie (Kristina is home sick) and in one of the opening scenes there were geese flying and honking and it woke her up.

Hello. I used to be a movie addict before. I would go to the movie theatre atleast three times a week. But, these days, I don't have the time to spend time for movies. Just once in a while, I would sit in front of the TV and watch for ten or twenty minutes, just to see what movies are shown these days. But, I still do like movies very much.

To start with, I have seen only 15 films in theatre in my whole life. ya just 15. But at home I have seen some 600+ or even more, I have a collection of DVDs. Each can hold 6 movies, I stopped numbering them after 80. I use to see atleast 2 movies per day during my college days. Everybody call me a movie-addict. Having said that, today I saw one, and going to see one. The best thing with home-theater is that you are the theater owner, and you are the reel-player, You dont have to stand in queue and buy tickets, you dont have to go up and down on your seat when somebody in the front row stands up. Thats why I like the home-theater most.

A cup of coffee makes everything better. lol I love my coffee. A glass of slivovitz (Croatian plum brandy) is also nice when sitting at home relaxing. We still have a really old TV, so the only way to watch DVDs is to watch them on our computer screens. i have a laptop and my husband has a desktop. If we want to watch a movie together, it's uaully on my laptop with us snuggling on the couch.
