Do you use garlic, ginger and cranberries with honey in the time of Influenza? I like to have a tea of ginger with lemon and honey.

Hello. I make sure that I drink fruit juices, especially orange juice. Orange juice has Vitamin C which helps to protect from cold. Another fruit I off and on eat is apple. There is the saying "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away". I think this saying is very true. Although not every day, I don't forget to eat apples. I keep a bag of apples in my refrigerator.

mmm all of that sounds good. i do use honey in tea to help with colds, etc. can no longer use what my mom taught me because of my stomache. but when i was a child and got a cold, mom would make up a hot toddy of whiskey, honey and lemon yuckkkkkk! she made me drink it. it was warmed. anyway, it really seemed to knock the cold fast if your stomache can take a little shot of whiskey in that, you will bounce right out. just dont make a habit drinking the whiskey at other times

Hi, Bunny! Thanks for response. For cold we have here local recipe. We use 1 teespoon our Riga Black Balzam in a cup of hot milk and honey. Our Riga Black Balzam opens a world of sensation with its 24 ingredients. It is very old recipe from midlage. Subtle hints of linden blossom, birch bud, valerian root, raspberry, bilberry, and ginger as we as touches of nutmeg and black peppercon tease the palate and come alive in glass!!:)
