Why girls are better than boys in remembering things by heart? Better memory?

This fact shocks me everywhere and in every moment! Women have better memory than men, and I think nobody could deny it! What do you think about it?

Well I think it might be girls are more focused on the details, which makes them remember thing better, they will connect those points together for easier memory. My guess hehe

I agree with you when you say that girls are more focused on details than boys! indeed you notice even the smallest detail, such as wrong shoes or wrong colours matching in clothes!

Girls are very tidy and organized , I suppose that's also how they store information in the head , ...mot random like a guy ..lol

I never think that woman are having better memory than others. During studies, boys have lots of things to do. But girls are not having such a fun like boys. They too have fun but not more than fun. So their work is only to read. So they can have better memory. But also i can't agree women having more memory than boys.

Really! i thought it was evident... for instance i am a mathematician and i have to admit that girls are beter than me when something must be learnt by heart.

Ya I think that generally women do a better job at remebering things than men do.

I dont think I'm very good at remembering things in any logical order - I can remember landline phone numbers but not mobiles for some reason. My son, on the other hand, can reel off most of the numbers he has stored on his phone, can repeat whole scripts of TV shows and recite poems I learned when I was small. But then, I am, of course, much older than him 
I think, generally speaking, women are more likely to remember seemingly trivial incidents which had an emotional effect on them whereas men seem to forget... but that could be selective on their part.

well I think its just evolution similar to why most guys are stronger than women
there are always exceptions but I just think its the way the 2 races have developed throughout evolution.
I cannt for the life of me remember dates lol, like birthdays hence why I have a diary but a few of my female friends are awful at diy lol,
gues sits all down to evolution or is it ?

Well, you could be right... Indeed we are better than girls when we have to think and take decision, whereas they are better than us when they have to organize something! This difference makes me crazy!
