Violence in America

Every single day in America there are out of control people committing crimes of assault and murder. Child abductions and kidnapping are reported almost daily. How did we get to be this kind of society? I believe it all starts very early from birth to eighteen years old. A child that is physically or mentally abused by a parent will most likely be an aggressive child. That child will in turn become an aggressive and most often violent adult.

I guess it depends where you live. It's pretty quiet up in my part of the country, my state has very little in the way of murders or abductions. In fact, my part of the state has not had a murder in almost 10 years and it ws years before that one that we had the last one. Violence makes news, so you are going to hear about it. When was the last time you saw a news report that said "10,000 planes landed safely today" or "299 million people did not crash a car today"? You won't see it and you won't see "299 million people didn't commit a violent crime today" as a headline. I don't totaly buy the abused child excuse either. I think once you reach a certain age, no matter what you have been through, right and wrong are still right and wrong. I thimk we all have the responsabilty to know the difference, no matter what we have been through in life. Everyone has had problems at some point, we have all expereinced trauma and millions deal with it just fine and remain law abiding people.
