Would you prefer to put a batsman or a bowler in place of gambhir in the team for the 3rd test against Sri lanka? I would have gone for one more spinner in the team and get mait mishra a look in on the slow low bounce Brebourne Pitch. India is looking for an outright win to maintain the number one ranking in ICC test ranking. And fordoing that India has to be aggressive. An additional bowler would improve the chance of getting more wickets and getting 20 wickets should be the prime goal of the team at this juncture. With all batsmen hitting good form I dont think the captain should be worried about batting issues. Sehwag is batting well, Dravid is capable enough to open the innings if need be. Yuvraj can play one down and Sachin, laxman and Dhoni all have made good runs in the previous matches. with 6 batsmen in the team I do think India should go in with additional bowler. Zaheer and Sreesanth will handlethe pace attack which does not have much of a chance in Brebourne Pitch. So the load is going to be on the spinners. Amit mishra can add variety as both pragyan and Yuvraj and slow left arm bowlers and Amit with his right hand leg spinners can be a good change. What is your opinion?

I think. Murali vijay is best for replacement of gambir. We need batsman.

I don't agree with you. In place of Gambhir we required a good opener as we don't have any other batsmen who can open the inning. If we choose bowler then we have to use either Dravid or Yuvraj for opening, which is not good in this important match. So, in my opinion India has to choose a good opener.

As India is already 1-0 in the series, I would go for a batsman to replace Gambhir. I would pick Murali Vijay in his place. Had we been level pegging in the series, then I would have preferred an extra bowler. Need to see how the pitch will behave at Mumbai. I think it will play good for the first three days so again the captain winning the toss will bat and will like to pile on the runs. Cheers! Ram
