If yu on a diet right at this time, why not try to skip your snacks. Try eating oatmeal. It is a good food and very much healthy. I have tried it. Good luck on your diet!

I think that water is a great drink and some pure fruit drinks but they have some natural sugar in them. I suggest tea drinks without milk or sugar. I think that plain pasta and plain rice are good for dieting. I suggest lots of salad, like lettuce and cucumber. I think that you could start the day with cereal that is low in fat. Good luck.

lalyn19 why eat the way your mom said, your vegetables and your fruits, lean meat, lo fat milk, cheese, whole grains cereal and bread, all the foods that most eat but load up on veggies and fruits, eat mostly chicken and fish as opposed to red meat, have some milk for calcium sakes or cheese, use whole grain cereal and bread but limit how much you eat, but make the veggies and fruit and lean protein the main part of your meal, also 1 percent milk will actually help you lose weight.so drink three glasses a day. this is also a good diabetic diet too.

Just stick to veggies and friuts and less carbs. You can eat whole wheat bread as an alternative to rice. Refrain from drinking carbonated drinks such as sodas, coffee, tea and sweetend juices. Just make sure to drink plenty of water. Fiber rich friuts are also good for you. No sweets! A good excercise would also be great to go with your diet. Goodluck!!

Different people have different opinions on what to and not to eat while on a diet. The best thing to do, is avoid sweets and such foods in excess, try for high protine low carb meals to give you slow-burning fuel to get through the day. Eating thease types of foods will help you in the long run stay fuller longer. Try to eat at least three times a day, decent-sized meals and not over do it. Snack inbetween if you have to. Whole fruits and vegetables are good sorces of "good" carbs to give you engery, but won't burn off too quickly.

yes fruits are the best to eat while diet, while the extra energy needed comes from the milk. Its the best for people on diet as its a balanced item which given every thing in small amounts.

well, here in canada, fortunately, all packaged foods have to list not only thier contents but their calorie contents as well as sodium and what nutrients they contain, so i am always reading those and i generally stick with low cal stuff. i have lost about 10 lbs in the last couple of months. so my advice is to read the labels!

I agree with lullaby2005. Fruits and vegetables are great for dieting. They don't have a lot of calories and they are healthy. But you should stay away from bananas as they are quite caloric. You should eat more apples as they lower your appetite. You can try eating one apple before each meal. Also stay away from sodas. Instead drink fresh juice and a lot of water.

In my opinion, vegetables and vitamins are the best food for you now. They are full of vitamins, and they are delicious, aren't they?

I always do better with a kind of modified low carb diet. Protein will keep your appetite in check. Fruits and veggies (with the exception of those that are starchy like potatoes and corn and fruits very high in sugar like bananas should be avoided. What's working very well for me right now is carb cycling. I think that you can get the same kinds of results with calorie shifting. Good luck. I know what a struggle it is. Make sure that you drink plenty of water and exercise every day as well.

What kind of diet are you on? Are you just trying to make healthier choices? I was on a diet where I just make healthier choices, watched my calorie/fat intake, drank a lot of water and went on walks every evening and it was working great. I then got pregnant so, obviously, I'm not dieting right now. But I'm going to pick back where I left off after our baby is born in December. I don't know about you, but my biggest weakness are potatoes. I just love them! Baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, french fries, you name it! So, what I did any time I craved a potatoe I would have a baked sweet potato (I don't know if you like those). If you put some Splenda Brown Sugar on it it's SOOOOOOOO good. So I'd kill two birds with one stone one that one, a potato and something sweet!
