Fuss post..Being 'lol'ed to death and beyond

I realized in a discussion this morning just how aggravating 'lol' has become..and I'm in a good mood too..I've been ignoring it for..oh..longer than my time here in Mylot but it just struck home how it gets in the way of what could be an interesting conversation..every other sentenced getting pummelled by another 'lol'. Sometimes its just too much.
Because of its appearance this morning it has managed to rise in the ranks of my least favorite conversational catchphrases challenging the (so far) all-time winner 'ya know' and its evil twin 'ya know what I mean' and that annoying jab in the ribs or shoulder that seems to follow in its wake.
So, what about you? Are you tired of being over 'lol'ed or are you into conversational torture? Are there any other such phrases that send you into a literate panic?
Enjoy!

Ha Ha......actually I never use "lol".........I just couldn't resist.
I have online friends that seem to have the need to put "lol" at the end of every other sentence.
If I think something is funny, I laugh, as in "Ha Ha" or if I'm here at myLot, I just use
or

I don't mind LOLs much, especially if used only once in a reply. When its overused it does get a bit annoying. It kind of makes you forget what you were reading. But usually I ignore these things and I'm glad its LOL being overused instead of RFLMAO.

doesnt really bother me as i know what it means and its a rather simple phrase just like saying thats funny or Ha ha! as in letters when thats how we communicated. actually, i get tired of "lmao" phrase as i have to stop and remember what it means. the whole problem is texting i think. thats what started a lot of these abbreviations in the first place. that and the laziness of our society today thats always in a hurry. even when it comes to writeing
