I read that using a round table promotes conversation.when you want to have a great time eating out with friends or family,choose a round table.round tables creates an illusion of balance and evokes harmony,since you are seeing each other on equal.with square or rectangle tables,once has to sit on the end,which illustrates superiority.I think the practical side is,you don't have to turn your head too much to look at who is speaking when seated at a round table.a little head turn will take you to eye level to the speaker.
