Mylot is no doubt addictive and this community is very very friendly here with all the people giving their say about your topic or your responses and comments. well, am one of those addictive ones, that was before.
Don't abuse yourself, computer or sacrifice work or quality time with family and friends, i mean it does pay but you know having friends or a lover or family is a lot more important and no doubt it's completely price less.
When you find yourself addictive, i suggest you STOP and think about what you're sacrificing just to do MYLOT. a lot has tendency to shift priorities and instead doing mylot all the time. it should be just fun and getting know others and not just for money only.
I know because I have that experience it did made me sacrifice a lot. remember, the outside is still better than being inside looking at the monitor all the time, unless it's part of your off-line job
I don't think mylot wants you to drain yourself just for the sake of the post and money. re-set your priorities and maybe you might enjoy mylto more if you spend lesser time. come to think of it, it's 1 am here, darn that farm TOWn.lolz

Hey Letran!
So you have started 'farming' too? 
It seems that a lot of our friends have taken to it and they are missing quite often now.
I manage to be here from work and from home unless I have other things to do. The 'other things' come first though. When it's pouring with rain I would much rather be indoors and I would rather be here on myLot than watching the television.
However when a certain band is playing then that takes priority and nothing keeps me away

Hello Aunt D,
Well, at first I was doing it well with the Farm Ville, but then I started doing Farm town as well since I got bored with Farm-Ville because in Farm town I can always talk to the people there and sometimes make jokes too.
Well, it ain’t Bad watching TV but we should have our own time constraint being in the site because I know also that you have other prorities in life and not just mylot. Unfortunately, I am not aware of that Band since we have serious issues here that happened last week.

You have a very valid point to make and I appreciate your concern about addiction. You are right that one should appropriately set one's priorities and should not neglect one' family for indulging in mylot. I also go for mylotting in my spare time. What about you?

Hello let!
Your observation is remarkable and it is true that sometime we indulge too much in mylot that we tend to forget attending to other important tasks and talking to our family members. It is also said that excess of everything is bad and we should limit ourselves for the sake of our health. I feel that you spending 8 hours on mylot is pretty long time.. Hope your discussion will be an eye-opener for all of us. Thanks for starting such an interesting discussion.

Hello dpk,
Well, I noticed this not only to me but also to others who are in mylot almost every single day. Before, I really stuck up here for almost eight hours straight and sometimes I tend to sleep around four to five in the morning just to finish mylotting. But later I realized that it’s not good and it caused a very deadly price such as my computer that crashed but now re-installed. I am not doing this again, staying up late.

OMG 1am and you say you ‘were’ an addict LOL
I m not a mylot addict, if fact I cant stare at a stretch for more than an hour at the comp screen, my eyes become red and dry, so automatically the spell is broken. And then what do you guys find so interesting to stay here for so long? For me, some responses to today’s top, some to my friends, some to new users and no responses and a few in my interest list and I am done for the day. Max twenty to twenty five responses and I feel emotionally drained.

I would never do that. I get on here at night when I get out of work for a couple of hours and I get on here randomly during the day before I go into work but I have other things that are important and so it would not...won't take away from my priorities right in front of me.

that's good for you to know since you have been here for a long time. unfortunately it's only recently these past few days that i got to know how to do time management and not that i am limiting myself again but you know, it's just too darn hard to resist mylot when you have your own computer.

I try my best to prioritize, but normally the outside life wins, LOL. Because I normally am in the lot while working, so it gives me a perfect excuse to do my work quickly and accurately, so then I can be with darling friends here and update my online stuffs. LOL... you are right, it's best not to get too much addicted to the point of neglecting outside life. After all, life is more than the internet, but ironically, the internet has played a major role in many people's lives. Good topic here, Letran. You have a good one, aite..

Well, as for me, it gives me a perfect excuse to do internet and a good one too in order prevent mom from telling me any further that using internet is costly and useless. It’s good to be here all the time but not to the point of simply neglecting other important responsibilities, like sleeping late, not doing house choirs, or stop going to work, etc.. most people are internet users now and more on games, I wish they could see how it is cool to be at mylot all the time.

I totally agree with you. There are days when I think I have nothing to do, I already cleaned my house, already ran my errands, and no plans to have visitors today, so I come in here...however, if I wasn't in here, I could think of other things to do, such as going for a walk, going outside to breath the fresh air, doing something creative, visiting someone and sharing a cup of coffee, etc....actually doing something that I would love to do, but never make the time to do it. Being isolated from people is not good at all, and I don't believe that talking on a computer all day, is the answer. As nice as some people are on here, I can't consider them my real friends because they certainly couldn't be with me when trouble, sadness, or sickness comes. To me, this is all so artificial.. I would rather be with real people that I come in physical contact with every day. Those are the ones you can count on to be your friends.
So, am I addicting to this site? Not at all...once a week is fine with me. The money earned is not worth loosing contact with the outside world, because that is reality.

That is good to hear from you, a lot have said they had nice friends but am not sure how deep is that friendship is, I think it’s more of a colleague or an acquaintance rather a simply friend.
At least you know that it’s no good to be isolated from other people, sometimes you might see their changes you would be surprise if you don’t see or talk to them often. It’s nice for you to have this site. Have a great day.

Yes, it does take more than a month to reach he pay out most specially if you have other things to do offline. Sometimes it can be disappointing but from the way you look at it I can see that as long as your online at least a month, your earnings will always be around not be taken away. I agree that most people here are responsible adults and no spoilbrats around.lolz

For me no much problems because all are very addicted to their respective jobs. So, no one these days have time for family or friends in my place. So, I don't mind to be addicted to my work on mylot. But for the people who have loving friends and family then you are right mylot makes them miss the precious love and time as well... But everyone is joining mostly to earn few bucks, so to get something one should sacrifice. But the choice is with a particular person that what he choices personal life or addiction towards mylot..

Sacrifice is alright but not to the point that your eyes are almost point out to mylot all the time. It’s nice to have personal addiction to the site, trouble is some people tend to forget their house choirs and even their appointments too just to be here in mylot, and that’s not healthy. It’s just a friendly advice, there’s nothing bad about if the person either listens or not. We are all entitled to personal opinion.

I have experienced this before as well when I started myLot. I have to agree it is very addicting. I stayed up for hours before and had a good amount but of course I was so sleepy the next day I had to rest. But discussions are very interesting here that who would stop if you are into a good conversation right? I honestly have to say I let go of my anger sometimes when I go online with myLot so it actually helps me take stress off my back a lot of times already.

That’ s right and if you missed it, you will have almost never ending time to find the right discussion again in the categories since they are all updated almost all the time. My advice regarding this is tha if you can’t respon to that discussion at that time then you can at least copy paste the discussion link into a word,notepad so that when you are available once again , then that’s the time you copy paste the discussion and respond to it.

Remember that there are a lot of ways to be happy too when you’re not using internet, it’s a matter of looking at the other side more widely, I know I did and it kept me from missing too much mylotting.

I noticed that and it’s a good thing that you get to spend good time, but not too much here. And I have come to see that some people actually get out from the real world of their problems just to stay here in mylot a lot longer.

I had the same issue for few days but then stepped back and took a short break. I do other online writting and this is more for fun here on myLots than it is for the money. My other writting is more for income so must concentrate on quality and and quantity. Here I just feel free to express myslef which is relaxing for me. I will always stick with my other writting for making extra income and here for fun and soicalizing. Happy myLotting :)

Thanks for reminding me. I think i got addicted to Mylot. right now I am not talking to my friends, my family even I am not getting interest in my work. In office hours also i used to do Mylotiing. Tell me the way how to get rid of this.

I think you should re-prioritize your goals, like set time and day for mylotting so that you can have time to communicate with your family and friends. You know mylot won’t be around forever not just to pay but at least to be here but friends and families will be at your side all the time.

Very good input in here. I am also a long time member here and I do have ups and down over at Mylot. I guess there comes a time when Mylotting becomes uninteresting anymore and I stop going in here and there are times that I just like to share my thoughts out. I am happy being just like that I do not know if I am addicted already of just plainly enjoying time and earning in here but I think Mylot has become part of my life already. I learn a lot in here and I guess I am able to let out my ideas in here freely as well. I guess this is a good outlet for knowledge you rarely share in public.

It’s nice that we get to almost say it all here and almost every one has been all out friendly and good in giving advises to us. You know I did try to share my ideas on other social networking site but people either ignored it or mocked it.

You are right my friend do not sacrifice other important things just doing mylot. Yes, we enjoy writing here and giving a comments but there are much important which is our outside world of reality. As i have experienced here, I love my lot because it gives me those friends, like your and others here that giving me advices when i need them. If I had a problem I just write it down and in moment friends are running their fingers to the keyboard just to give and share their thoughts and advices. I really love this site and it will be my second good friend especially the people here what I called my friends. Have a nice day!

LOL But I LIKE being addicted to MyLot, thank you very much! But it's a healthy addiction. To me, it's almost as necessary as talking on the phone with a friend once a day. It's just.. habitual, being part of the MyLot community. But it never really interferes with my every day life, like some addictions do, which is definitely a good thing!

I know it’s a healthy addiction, but there are people out there that has trouble setting priorities simply when they started doing mylot. And I happen to be one of them. Well, it does interfere with other’s off-line, if in case it does, this will serve as a reminder.
That’s nice that you get to call your friend almost every day. I believe this is one addiction that every person can be proud of.

Welcome there Pipay, it seems that you have just started here at mylot. It’s a good thing that you get to spent time to mylot but unfortunately you don’t overdo it since it will compromise other responsibilities and most likely your PC. Don’t worry you’re just in the starting age, just make sure you don’t spent too much time…
