Is It Right To Ask God For Money?

Christ said to the poor man when asked "Lord what do I do? I cant pay these tax's and the romans are coming" Jesus said "give to Czar what belongs to Czar". I am so fed up with poverty, I know I cant fix the world but what if I could help just a few of God's children. I have been buying lottery tickets with the hope's of winning the big one, and asking God that if I should win I will use it to do the Lords work. I dont need much, all I need is my wife and our home, Im not going to buy new cars or a new house or squander it all, I just want to pay off our debt and at the same time help others who are in the situation I am in. Is it wrong to ask God for this kind of help?

If you are religious, according to your religion rule, is it wrong, that really determine by yourself. For me, I am atheist, and I don't have this kind of fear. I believe that if that winning ticket belongs to me, I should use it however I want it. But I won't just waste every penny for something nonsense. I might indulge myself, but not over - indulged.

Another good answer, I too have no intention (if I should win) to waste it down to the penny on nonsense. However one thing I know is I do not fear God, nor do I fear the evil one simply because I do have faith & trust in God. But as far as the lottery goes, the first response above made a good point that changed my thinking.
