Weird MonsterQuest monster name?

Ok so i was watching monster quest once and i saw this really creepy monster from puerto rico or the dominican republic or something. it was this short little yellow thing that stood on its hind legs and had spikes all over it. Does any one know the name of this creature? i remember being really freaked out by it and i wanted to show my friend lol.
