Promoters: Have you abandoned Squidoo?

Squidoo have implemented a few rule changes of late to combat spammers. One I rather approved of -- it limited the number of links to a given domain you can include in a lens. Other changes, though, have restricted further the type of content you can discuss in lenses. Now paid to click and traffic exchange sites are officially "taboo" and in general the site seems to be adopting a less friendly attitude towards affiliate marketing as well. It's a far cry from the marketer-friendly image the site cultivated to begin with.
So, affiliates and promoters: have you already abandoned Squidoo or are you planning to do so? If you've moved your content, where have you moved it to? I haven't had any lenses locked or anything so far, but there is one PTR lens that I can no longer make changes to due to the "spam" filter probably purely because I used terms like PTR and PTC in the lens. I know some people with quite good lenses like Sergeantrom and Andria have had lenses locked, though, so it seems to me like the time has come for me to move all of my promotional type content elsewhere. I think Squidoo can still be quite a useful site for link building purposes and as a source of free web space that lets you earn money with your content, but I don't like the changing terms of service. I want to know that the content that is acceptable today will be acceptable tomorrow and not subject to arbitrary rule changes.

Lol, I left it long ago. I brought in some pretty good traffic and I knew I wasn't getting paid anywhere near what I would have been getting paid if I ran my own site, so I kind of left. I left some lenses with products I was selling up and I sold I would say over 60-70 of them now and guess what I made from the product sales? About $5-$6. Not even worth my time. I do get some residual from them.. which i'm suprised about, but not really anything worthwhile. They already had crazy rules, adding rules on top of it just makes me want to dislike Squidoo more, and definitely helps me to confirm the fact that now i'll NEVER come back.

Well I made about $35+ residual from it and I still make a few bucks residual each month. Didn't do much promotion. It's a good tool for when I knew nothing about SEO and making my own sites n' etc. Now it's kind of junky to me. If I knew what I know today I would have made about $120+ from doing.. pretty much the exact same thing I did on Squidoo. Possibly more. I would also be making about at least triple the profits in residual. I feel sorry for the person claiming they make like $2000+ a month from Squidoo. They could probably be making like. $4500+ a month with their own site, and then some.
