Hey mylotters, I have not been able to figure out why so many can't take you seriously when you supply them with helpful free information that will benefit them. They will be rather pay for information that is less useful and depend on it. They will suspect and argue about your motive for giving them the information free of charge.

Well, nuemann, I would say it's because there's just no trust any more. And with reason. Nothing is free in life and free things always seem have have some "strings attached". Either somebody's trying to get something from you or put one over on you. MyLot discussions are a perfect example, especially when the topics concern earning money online. Whenever someone asks about a specific program, most of the responses are people saying, "Try this one" or "Look at my profile" instead of answering simply answering the question. It used to bother me when I'd give someone what I thought to be beneficial information to and they simply ignored me. I don't care so much any more. I feel better about myself for offering to them. What they do or don't do with the information is no longer my concern. I offered. No strings. No catches. No expectation in return. Just my thoughts...

Yeah, you are right! The information I gave was real beneficial and he (the benefactor) even paid for my trip to get the information. I risked everything and mae a lot of compromise just to get the information for him, he even have me negotiate on his behalf and during the discussions he was contacted by phone and and the agreement was reached after he consented to the terms which he said was very good. He only developed cold feet later after he had made promises to the firm where I went to negotiate on his behalf. He kept asking me silly questions and my asking him to go and verify himself fell on deaf ears. Now am feeling so bad for all the sacrifices and time spent on the whole thing. He is really some bum I pray never to meet again in my life but he is my friend. He is going for something less beneficial and more risky with little benefits. I just don't understand why?

I'm sorry that you feel you wasted a lot of time nuemann. Sounds to me like your friend really didn't know what to do and probably went with the side that was "easier" or sounded more convincing. Who knows. Try not to take it personally. That's what I do. Don't take it personally, learn from the experience and try not to repeat it.

Well this is a community where we all try to share great information to another with out thinking about benefits etc. Don't mind them if they take the information seriously or not, just think that you've done a good deed in trying to help thousands of people out there.

hi,nue, that is the human psychology, what ever the country, you may hails from, but the feeling is same as you said with all.Because majority feel that if it is free means it is worthless and at the same time if you quote some price, then many people show interest.. Have a nice time.

Well, its bad if you have to monetise everything before people will take you seriously. For certain people like what they pay for more than what they get freely but YOUR friend shouldn't pay for such things as your mention of money, you would have betrayed your friendship and you will definitely be tagged a selfish person. Thank you for your response anyways. I learn't something for real!
