I'm in the process of making my Christmas list and I'm trying to think of some great kitchen gadgets I could use. I know that my husband's mom would love to purchase us things for our kitchen, especially since we're just starting out! We got a lot of great things for our wedding, but I'm sure there are other things that I'm just not thinking of. Some of the items I have on my list so far are a pepper grinder, small cutting board, and wine tumblers. What are some smaller kitchen gadgets that you CANNOT live without and would recommend?? :-) Happy holidays!

well i guess besides a breadmaker i would have to say our bullet is the best. we can make fresh and healthy juices out of fresh fruits. we use it a lot in the summer and in the winter we will use it to make whipped hot chocolate! yum!

Those can-openers that fit in a drawer and you put it on top of the can and it goes around the can, then stops when it's done. And the top is really not sharp. instead of there being a cord, it comes with a rechargable battery. instead of taking up space on your counter, you can just throw it in your silverware drawer or if you have a drawer that you keep your bigger spoones, oven mitts etc. My girlfriend has trouble using it so she prefers her old one, but I like that one.

Hi Jenn! The two things in my kitchen that I wouldn't want to do without are my crockpot/slow cooker and my food processor. The crockpot is wonderful for throwing ingredients together in the morning and having dinner ready when every one gets home in the evening. The food processor is so good for chopping, but it's also wonderful for mixing. When I make cookies, I use it to mix the batter. Makes short work of it.

I bought a version of the Slap Chop and now that I have it I could not live without it. I just got it at a grocery store, it's not a real one. That thing chops onions and garlic like crazy! Definitely a good gadget to have.

You have to supply your kitchen with different knives. Each kind of knife has its specific use. The slicing and boning knife that are used for slicing vegetables and meat and boning chicken;chefs knives for general use;carving knives for carving meat and turkey;bread and cake knives and cleavers for cutting meat and bone as well as for chopping and crushing.I think this would be the most important and commonly used item in your kitchen.
