From good student to bad employment

Hi, I feel lost these days.
I used to be a good student, you know, high scores in study, popular in sports, music and social activities, everyting. I began to work a year ago. I found that it is so difficult for me to be outstanding. I don't know why. I tried to analyze myself but got nothing. Maybe I am a little week in communication, no skills but I am not sure.
Which bothers me most is that i found the advantages i used to have in school didn't help me to be a successful employee and to earn much money. I really don't know why. Do you have the same situation? Can you help me out?

Well,society is totally different from school.you are so proud of your past time in school.High scores, popular in sports,music, social activities,all these you can do excellence by yourself.But in society, the work to be done ,not only by yourself,but also depend on your colleague sometimes, only if you cooperate with your partners very well,keep a good relationship with your colleague,and work harder, you must be outstanding in future.

Well i always believe good student not necessary means good employment in the future as i believe you should control and fight for your job yea.
