What is your best way to travel?

Taking Flight - from my sketchbook

I've traveled by plane, bus and boat, I like all of them. When taking flight, I like it so because it is fast. The sights and sounds along a bus route, compensate for all those hours in a seat and each stop is a gastronomic adventure. A cruise on the other hand allows you to meet new friends. It is relaxing and either can be rowdy or contemplative, depending on your spirit or mood. How about you? What is your favorite transport?

hello moneyking! i have also experience traveling by plane, bus, boat, jeepney, train (mrt) they all have their pros and cons but one thing for sure, i enjoy traveling whatever kind of transport i am using... for same reason like you, i like plane coz its a lot faster, with buses, i also like the views while traveling specially if its a long journey...but too bad for me coz i also have motion sickness that sometimes i didn't get to enjoy much my travel. with boat/ship...what i like about it is that i am like in a hotel haha and i also love the foods there and that there's a lot of activities to do there... so for me, anything will do depends on the situation and purpose of travel... have a good day and have a safe trip always! & welcome to mylot!

well, i really feel dizzy hen the road we take is curvy...just like those zigzag roads! and the best thing for me to do to avoid this is to sleep...before we reach those roads...haha with boat...its quite scary especially if there's a ot of waves...or the sea is not calm..but again, what i do, is just sleep! hehe

Hello ckyera! That's a bit unusual, only on curvaceous roads. I try to look outside whenever I start to feel dizzy and usually it goes away. It's hard to do so on a boat though, specially at night. Everything is just black outside. A lot of curves though may be seen inside. But it's not dizziness that comes to me. :)

Good for you! I have in my memory a scene of whirling propellers that would stop as some people scrambled around the tarmac. It's one of few things I remember about traveling. Perhaps I was brought along when I was little and it would mean we took the plane. Perhaps too, I did nothing except stare at those whirling propellers!

I think all forms of travel are fun as long as they are comfortable and you have good company. No matter how comfortable something is it will be annoying if for instance you have rowdy travel companions. The advantages of cars and bikes is that they can stop whenever you want, admire the local food and scenery even if it not on a specific route. Buses and trains are both comfortable and you don't have the stress of having to drive, though trains have the added advantage of sometimes having dining carts and bathrooms so you can walk around. Never been on a ship so I don't know what that's like. I love to travel by plane, the problem is the long flights I normally have, not being able to walk around if really busy or full.

It wasn't up until I was working when buses began having videos and bathrooms inside. After a while they offered premium fares for buses that went non-stop and served food. But I guess you're right, comfort is the key to a good travel and good company.

My favorite transport is by train. It inspire me, because my country is very beautiful and when I travel by train I can see all her beauty. I don`t like to travel by bus and by car. My dream is to travel by plane, I want to fly and I hope it will happen soon. I think it will be wonderful.

Hi azazel, I missed that one! A train! Perhaps it is because we don't have trains where I am. Only for short travel. I once had a ticket to Beijing but canceled it at the last moment due to work. The plan was for me to see the Great Wall, I think I still regret that. I hope you'll enjoy your first flight. Something not too long to be boring and not too short to be too fast either. May it be a good story to tell us all about it.
