The king sun is again going down from it's sit. And when he rises again, a new life and challenges is again waiting. Challenges or happiness, it is not really important, the best thing that we need to be thankful, is the new life and day that God gave us. Sunset, a beautiful creation of our God, when we see beautiful things like this, we will surely be refreshed and forget all our sadness for a little while. Sunset, have many meanings, very deep, very far, with different perceptions from humans and very beautiful. Sunset is one way, of God giving us new hopes in life, sunset is like us, we loose, we go down, we commit mistakes and we die, but then again, we will rise again. -rjvb26
How about you, what is your interpretation of sunset?

What I am teaching when I say that I just enjoy the beauty of the sunset without trying to give it an interpretation is that sometimes it is not necessary to be intellectual about everything. Sometimes it is good just to experience things. This is not to say that one way is wrong or the other way is right. If it makes you more comfortable I can share my interpretation of a rainbow, as it is a little bit like your sunset. To me the rainbow tells us that out of the darkest clouds can come something beautiful and so we should perservere. How is that?

O well, we people are different from each other, different point of views and different beliefs. Just like you, i also enjoy it's beauty, but i never think of it having no meaning and/or interpretation at all. Maybe you have an interpretation, and you just do not want to share it. Or maybe, you really do not have anything at all.

O and addition, you are a teacher right? Why not share your interpretations here so that we can learn from it. You are a teacher not only inside of the classroom, but also outside of it. And besides it is the purpose of this discussion. Sharing. Cheers and have a nice day.

Never thought of it like that at all... just watched the sun rise as I am reading this so..
The sun is the source of all life on earth. Without the suns illumination we would cease to exist. I have no other thoughts on the subject but the topic interested me. Beautiful sentiment.

Thank you so much for that, you are right, without the sun we would not exist. Every living thing is dependent to the sun. It is really beautiful watching the sun, goes down and goes up. It is a very beautiful gift, a gift that is so priceless, like the life that we receive from the Supreme being. Have a nice day.

I think of a sunset and I think of the end of either a beautiful day with lots of happiness or a bad day of being sick, sore, or just depressed, or angry. Either way, I think of it as being a refreshing time and one that closes the day, and promises the opening of a new day, whether it be better or worse.

Yes, sunsets are truly a beautiful and miraculous thing, as all over the world people may be watching the sunset and either having had a bad day or a good one, or maybe the same kind of crud or happy day as the next person.

Nice, very nice, it is either end of a beautiful day, which means that beautiful day may come again, and or, end of a bad day, that when it rise again, it will be all gone. The beauty of it, is really a refreshing one, viewing such beauty makes us feel better. When the sun is setting, i always think, that it is a sign of a new tomorrow, that will bring us, happiness, challenges, sadness, failure and success.

You are right about that, it gives us the idea, that there is a tomorrow that is waiting for us, and that tomorrow contains good things and challenges that will make us a better person. It gives us hope that the future can still be a better one if we people will only cherish the beauty of the things that God gave us and if we will take good care of it. Have a nice day!

Hi RJ,
The sunset for signifies moment of rest a break. It also signifies another day is up after a period of being rested. A reminder for us to give ourselves a break after a whole day of being so busy and tied up with a lot of things. We need to sit down, assess what happened the whole day and give ourselves a stroke for a day's accomplishment.

Yes a promise of a new day --a new light and a new life. We just need to be kind to ourselves by giving it a time to relax, recharge and be ready again for a new day of challenges. i am happy that i am given the chance to see, experience and appreciate sunset!

I agree with you, it signifies the meaning of people need to take a break, and after taking a break, we will be refreshed and energized and ready to face the morning that brings us new challenges in life. Challenges that will make us cry, laugh and tell ourselves that we are a worthy human living in this planet, challenges that will make us much more better in the future. Have a nice day.

Nice thoughts about sunset.
Growing up near the shorelines of Mindoro, sunset is just one of the ordinary thing that happens in a day. I did not really give much thought about it before. But I already missed watching the sun set since I've been living here in the city for almost 13 years now. Here, I don't really see the sun set in the afternoon - all I know is that the entire city just gets dark.

Hi. I'm now living in Makati. I don't normally notice the sunset because our house, and most of its windows, are facing the east where the sun rises. So what i just notice in the afternooon is the darkening of the surroundings.

For me sunset is respite, time out, take a break..It denotes rest from the wearies of the day..Perhaps it is God's timeclock for us?..To let us know that today's work is done and that He'll take care of us, in our slumber, until again the sun rises..
Enjoy!

You are right, about that, your interpretation is good. It is God's way of telling us to rest to have strength to face the challenges tomorrow that he set for us. take a break, take a deep breathe, remove worries, release, recharge and recover. Then God will take care of the rest. Have a nice day!

You are right about that, it is a remarkable thing, it is really amazing, how the sun shows us it's beauty specially when he will set out. A beauty that needed to be cherish and remembered by each and everyone of us. A beauty that tells us, how beautiful is the life that we have and we need to make our living a worth one. Have a nice day.
