Do you try and fool yourself?

I have been realizing lately that there are so many things that I try to justify within myself as being the "right thing" to do because of this or that..for instance.."it will be fine if I eat this pie because I will have an apple later." Ok, weird example..but I can't even think of a good one right now..I guess my question stems from the idea that we all justify things and try to sort of fool ourselves into thinking something will be fine, when really it needs our attention. Has this happened to you?

We do this just to satisfy our-self, In real , it is totally fake satisfaction, I agree with you, we are making fool our-self, In most cases when we are in stress situation, suddenly a phone comes, And he asks us for some work or help, suddenly we turnoff the phone and we do assume to justify this thing by distortion of call, and feels that he is also becoming fool, But actually this is pursue to satisfy our-self. Fake fake fake satisfaction. lol
