Some may find this awkwardly but others may understood it because surely, aside of being an animal lover, they had unforgetable experiences with their so called, "man's best friend". I am one of those people who pretty love animals, especially dog. I'd like to share to you guys my wonderful and unforgetable experience and how this everything started. This dog of mine was just an ordinary with no strings of blood from high breed dogs like german shepherds, boxers, etc. this dog was given from a person who become very closed to our family at time of my secondary years. from then, this dog displayed unussual characters that really impressed us. It seemed rational as human for it could easily comprehend on our simple instructions, very obedient and has the sense of respect to its known, foster family. also its sweetness and loving was really so touching and pathetic. this dog really gave to our familly something joy and happiness because this was the first time in our lives that we experienced a dog with an extra ordinary characters that others don't have. The unforgetable part of our experience with this dog was when I already schooling to university and the distance apart from my hometown was quite far from school and my time for my dog became narrow. so obviously, my father was the only person that could looked after on it because my mother was teaching on the next town and it's not a problem for my father because he loved dogs too. My availability to visit them was during weekends because as their only son, they wanted me to be home on weekly and at the same time get my weekly allowance then played basketball with my childhood friends, and during summer vacations and semestral breaks too. In short, the closeness of our family binds including our dog became so close and tight. whenever I was away for my study, it's a great help since the presence of my dog really took part on my absence and it really help it a lot. according to my father, batche (name of my dog) kept him alive especially during office hours for he is alone in the house so he had no choice, no other way to make fun aside from the radio cassette and television but this dog played so important to him then. until one day, a test came to our family. my mother was hospitalized due to hypertension resulting to stroke. And the finding was that, my mother has a little chance to recover and get back to her usuall lifestyle because she's already in semi-coma and almost everything in this state were affected. the only chance is the miracle from God inorder to extend her life and going to normal again. It's was so hard in our part, the kind of life changing was unanticipated and was really so hard to make adjustments. we're so affected both financially and emotionally and my brain was like drained-out because of that unexpected incident. but despite that, we tried to get back, face the reality and live the kind of life we're in. at first, it was so hard for us especially to my father because he was a full-time attending my mother's needs like prepare her foods, equivalent for 3 meal with 4 hours interval. so it could be so stressful for him without assistant, especially at night time where we used to take rest for the next day. he did the laundry, maintain her hygiene, prepare grinded foods, and everything. from that, my father became more alcoholic and smoker and his body weight was slowly losing. I tried to convince my father to temporary stop schooling so that I can help him not just at weekend but he refused because he wanted me to finish my studys first. so we've been through to that for almost three years before my mother gave up. the thing there was, we successfully extended my mother's life with the help and guidance of God even just for a couple of years. it's a painful for us when my mother died for we'd committed ourselves to do all the resort just to make her stay with us but God has just a better plan for us, so that's one of the reason why he let those things to happen. after all those times, i realized what kind of effort my father exerted and how did he do that and as we talked about it, I learned from him that one thing that inspired him to do such heroic deed was because of our dog. batche played also a great role on him. it refilled his strength, refreshen his mind when batche showed affection through its action like sleeping on her side during those times when his exhausted. sitting on his lap with an act of implying something meaningful, barking in and outside the house as showing as its reliability and unquestionably service on safety especially at night time and the lick that gave him comfort when my father felt so down. If we'll treat them the way we treat ourselves, it's a greater chance that we can be benefited. others may think they're animals so there treatment also corresponds with their words. so what's best is, this animal has life, emotionally capable but mentally lower than us. let's think over on that so that we can treat them nicely.......

What a wonderful story, we have always had dogs and many have been very close to the family. In fact whenever things got bad and the family became upset it seemed that having the care of animals kept us steady and certainly there is nothing better then returning home to the wonderful welcome of a dog.

That was such a great story I was crying by the time I got to the end. I feel for your family, I and glad that you all got through it and that through the telling of your story people can see the benefits of having a dog are great. They are more than companions they are great friends! I have always thought of my dogs as part of my family and they do keep me going when life gets me down. I sometimes would have given up long time ago, were it not for the fact that my dogs needed me as much as I needed them. They are the reason I get up and go to work as I must feed them and keep a roof over all our heads. And they are ALWAYS there to welcome me home from a day of work and quite exuberantly too- they make me laugh. Thank you for posting this -such a lovely story and really touched my heart. :)
