When we sin and pray for forgivness how can we know God has forgiven us and what can we do not to sin anymore?

God always forgives our sin if we are really sincere asking for forgiveness. We are only human, we are not perfect. So just be and excellent example of being yourself. Always do whats right for you and what is best for God.
