When was the last time you donated clothes? Where was it to? Why did you decide it would be that person or charity?

The last time I donated clothes was in December 2008 and those were for a spcific charity. Last year, instead of having a Christmas party, our company decided to hold an outreach program. We had lots of games, prepared food, grocery items, toys, clothes, etc. It was fun and fulfilling. This year, we're doing it again. I know that somehow we still want to have a company Christmas party, but of course, sharing our blessings and extending our help especially to those who are in need is much better.

Wow, that's really amazing. Especially when you hear companies doing such shady things under the radar, I admire you and your company for doing so.Rock on!!

We have charity bags dropped through the door and that is what we put our clothes in that we do not want anymore.

We get two or three charity bags each week! If we gave one item to each we'd soon be running around au naturelle!

I donated a bunch of warm clothing about a month ago. With winter coming up I'm sure it's needed. I almost always donate my clothing to Salvation Army. I know a lot of folk donate to GoodWill, but after seeing a shirt there, still with the tags on it, for a price higher than it was going for at the store, I decided they weren't probably really helping the people that need a break the most. Salvation Army is wonderful. When my Dad & Step-Mom lost their house to a fire (lightning struck it) the Salvation Army stepped right in and let them go through the entire store for clothing and needs. No questions asked, and no charge. They also let the homeless, in that town, pick warm stuff to wear. Now that is a service that really tries to help those who have zilch, and that's exactly why I choose to donate to them as opposed to other places:-)

Hi. Clothes and shoes donation is an annual practice in the family. Every Christmas time, all members of our family collect the clothes, shoes and other household items which have not been frequently used for the past year. We give the items to Mangyans, an ethnic or indigenous group of people in our province.

I donate a lot to Good Will. Also I have taken things to schools at the holidays when they collect for needy families. There are always kids that need stuff and the older kids often get overlooked. I have also given somethings to parents that wear my size after buying for the kids.

Hi, jahernan. I donated clothes last year in September some time. It was at The Salvation Army. I decided to give these clothes away because my kids has out grown a lot of their baby and child age clothing. I no longer needed them because I needed room for my new clothing that I got for them. I was glad to have given away all of these clothes. I gave away about five to six small bags of clothing. I have some more that I will have to give away by this year and next year too.

I has been a few months since I donated clothes to the charity in my town. I donated there because it is in town and very convenient for me to take the clothes there.

i donated clothes last october to the victim of typhoon ondoy here in our country. i supposed to give them to orphanage children since i no loner use some of my clothes and instead of putting them aside and let the dust ruin them then better give them to someone whose in need for at least it can still be useful.

Quite some time ago, I took them to a local shop that raises money for a Hospice. It's not that I'm not generous but I don't buy many new clothes and when I do I tend to wear them until they look shabby and then I keep them for gardening until they fall apart!

There is less and less demand for second hand clothes for the simple reason those who are in need of clothes will not wear clothes that we discard which are mostly trendy!!!

Hmm.... Don't exactly remember but I think it was in school time for people affected by flood or famine or something like that. It does feel bit good to donate something to those who are in desperate need.
