i have recently been to doctor's clinic for a treatment on fever he gave some medicine and charged me 1000 rs 20usd i am totally fed up for a small fever i hate to pay those huge bill even during this recession time they charge like this what will the people who don't have enough money will do.... i discussed about his charge to other patients they said some are charged 2000 for 40usd for blood test usually blood test cost only from 100 to 500rs but this is too much cost totally fed up by the bills have you ever faced this situation.. what we should do about these doctors who take their profession as thing for making money.... ofcourse they can earn but these are too much charge for one day 20000 in clinic and some in hospital why can't they do some thing for free of cost they earn this much are they going to take everything when they die ....

I understand your feeling and I know it well. Last month I just got hospitalized because of the severe gastritis, and I was charged IDR 400.000 or about USD 40 for several hours in the emergency room, few shots of injections and also two packets of medicine.
Too bad that my health insurance only cover the money if I spend the night on the hospital. It means, if I was sick, I have to pay a lot for the hospital. If I want to get covered by the insurance I have to sicker than sick so that I had to spend the night in the hospital. That's silly.
But yeah, that's the regulation and by it, I learn that the health is not cheap. Health is expensive. No matter how much we own the money, it doesn't matter if we're ill.

I am fine now, thanks for asking. i really hope that was the last time I should go to the hospital because of an illness. Talking about a life saving job, I think the doctor profession is not a job for everyone. Only those with dedication in helping people around them are allowed to be a doctor, because people who lack of dedication would consider the doctor profession as a huge money source instead of a life saving job.

yes once if they get chance they charge us why can't people be some what good and not money motive in saving life doctor's profession is really a life saving one and if they charge this much all our money goes for them infact almost my full pocket money got over with my last treatment and you also had bad time with these doctor's bill ..how is your health now have you recovered ..

Oh,then how is your health now.I can understand you. No one is going to take with them expect their name when they die. I had never seen doctors are billing such a high amount. If so you can move to government hospitals and they do treatment for free of cost. Doctors billing such a high amount should be suspended or banned for some days from their work. They need to know the value of people as well as the money. So if doctors are continuing the billing you can complain to some organization which are running for peoples health and wealth.

infact that doctor is working for the government hospital too plus he is one specialist for heart disease my father has some heart disease so that doctor is our family doctor this is the case for the people know to him how much he will charge for unknown people really annoying ..i am fine now thanks for asking and for reply

well.i also hat of those high fees every time we go to the hospital and they really going more and more blood sucking .but we can't help it since we have to . we need they to fix our body's problem or we can't work.live as good as normal.maybe the doctor's have to think about their high fees now.

we have to do some thing on this or else all our income will go in this matter itself i am fed up that we earn hard money and those people easily earn they don't even pay income tax really we are taken as money making machines

thats huge bill for one day may be you can claim insurance for it if thats the bill for day i do eat health food am very health curious but thing is i most get infected by water i mostly don't watch out on this water alone which causes me fever many times and thanks for ur share

Yes, I am fed up because doctor's always take advantage of their patients by overcharging them. Doctors have self-preference, especially private doctors. The college where I go to, after one has been sick for at least a day, one must obtain a medical certificate from a doctor in order to be allowed to re-enter the college and continue his studying. Even if you sickness has passed, you still need to obtain a medical certificate which in my country, a greedy doctor would charge 25 euros to do.
Conclusion: Please be aware that doctors might be taking advantage of you and good luck!

oh that's another problem for you hope you don't take leave to college 25 euros dam its very huge amount for that certificate just make a xerox change dates and give...i think this is how criminals are born ...see for a way to escape we think like this ..what will the people with low income will do ..really medical bill is the only place we can't control our money

I avoid doctors as much as I can. In India, this noble profession has been reduced to the level of thieves by conniving doctors, medicine companies, diagnostic centres and hospitals and nursing homes. Everybody is out to make a quick buck at the expense of the hapless patients. Even if a simple medicine is enough to cure fever, be sure to be prescribed many other additional medicines which the doctor will say is beneficial and compulsory.
Nowadays, I am looking up the net for natural remedies to as many ailments as possible. Right now I am suffering from toothache which is giving me a lot of trouble… I am chewing guava leaves and one clove garlic and its giving me good relief. Let me see how long this holds and if its good, I’ll not go to any doctor.

i don't know they real do life saving profession or not i am really feeling bad if its good and strong things will be fine is it really money making only when i ask some one whats the best way to earn first word become a doctor they could have spend a lot of money for studying but is this way to get it back really upset with these activities

I can't afford to even walk into a doctor's office so it is probably a good thing that I'm as healthy as I am. I know they do charge a lot and much of that is due to the law suits they risk facing should they make an error. It would be nice if they would do somethings for free but really we can't expect them to. They would then run the risk of playing favorites or simply working for free. I think if the insurance companies were a little more affordable then there would not be so many people without healthcare.

yes insurance companies also wont easily afford money for us that much if we get sicker only they give money and these people charge so much when we go to clinic the thing about is that they don't have any "income tax" what is this we strain earn money they simply earn they are don't pay tax for that but for us government will collect income tax this is really too much

This can be done by keeping yourself healthy as far as possible and avoid things that are injurious to health. Just think of being healthy and stay away from paying bills to doctors.

its always heavy we save money by eating less doing this and that bargain in buying things even but when it comes to doctor we can't do anything about money it goes like anything what to do about this

hi there. months ago i started a discussion regarding this topic. but not as same as u yet i wanted established some stupid activities of doctors along with lawer and police( i know all doctors are not same).
yes, they use all their patients as a money making machine. u can say it day light robbery. they have no need to submit a huge amount of bill for a simple exam, but they do. it means they are greedy.
if u know bengali literature then i suggest u to listen a song of nachiketa. its O DOCTOR.

Oh yes, definitely. I incurred so much medical debts because of huge bills after a week of hospital confinement. The agony did not end there, the clinic visits to the doctors and the so many laboratory tests they require on a regular basis really made the situation worst.

yes these people charge this and that unwanted test that too there are some doctor who will say you must do this test only in a particular lab there they really cost too much money here also money making is the motive on doctor's head because they get some referral earning for sending us this happen here too much
