last 10 days in portland, what to do?

i moved to Portland from New Orleans nine months ago. I was very excited being in a new city. Also i have never been in west coast. I like to being in Portland but unfortunately we (my wife and I) have to move back to New Orleans. (Economical issues like job) Eventhogh i have been here like 9 months still kind of new in the town.
any suggestions for me what can i do my last 10 days in Portland which it will be fun?

Are you the outdoor fun kind of person? I don't know if you have ever even heard of it, but if not, there's a outdoor game called geocaching. It just so happens that the very first cache, placed in 2000 I believe, is outside of Portland. You could try searching for it.
That's the only suggestion I have as I've never been there. By the way, here are two links about what I'm talking about. The first link is to the GC website with general information on it (if you're unfamiliar with the whole thing) and the second is that cache I'm talking about. I don't know if you would even be interested in all this, but couldn't hurt in suggesting.

thank you for response and i'm already interested with geocaching.
even though i am always late to find treasures, i like to being outside and looking for some treasures.
i was going to pan some gold in summer time around salem but this weather it is almost impossible.
