I've noticed that when I post, there's a star next to my name

And the star has a number in it that is a mylot ranking from 10-100. I've noticed that not all people have this star. Could someone please explain this thing to me? I'm curious as to what it means, especiall if it could mean more money.

When a user reaches 100 posts they receive their star. The value of it is decided by the other Lotters when they rate the posts using the +/-/! beside each discussion, comment and response. More plus ratings will result in a higher star which can go from 1 to 10, with 10being the highest. The higher the value of the star then the higher the earnings will be as stated in the FAQs: : http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx
