In Malaysia, we paid averagely RM 10 per pax, its around 3.++ USD. However, there are special prices for weekdays and on special times, such as early birds, or late night shows. So, how much does a movie ticket in your country cost?

In India, the movie ticket rates vary from Rs.50 to Rs.500!!!. Yes, for some premier shows you need to pay anywhere between Rs.500 to Rs.1000 that is $10 to $20 and for normal regular shows, in a multiplex, the rates vary between Rs.75 to Rs.200.

I agree with srikanth that the multiplex rates quite high, for a family of four we need to take minimum of 1500 rupees to watch a film and an additional of 200 rupees to feed our appetite and the rates of the food items are exceptionally high and moreover we cannot take anything (food items) they will check our baggage before we enter the auditorium. Those who afford they can only go and watch this luxury, not for the common man.

Hi. Here in the Philippines, the price of a movie in regular theaters range from Php120 to Php170 (around $2.60 to $3.70) depending in the mall where you will watch the movie. On the other hand, IMAX/3D theaters offer Php250 - Php350 (around $5.40 to $7.60) per movie.

The regular cost for a movie ticket where I live, here in Sacramento, California....USA...is now $10 for one ticket. It is crazy,I don't know what the matinee price is, like daytime showing, but for now, if I want to go and see a movie with one other person, it will cost $20 for the both of us, its outrageous.

To me, I live in a little country town, and our mall is not very popular. The matinees are $2.50, and the evenings shows are 4 bucks. The movies are basic, we don't get to see the 3-D versions, and the films are censored, thanks to management.

I've been in several states lately in the USA and they all have varying prices. You can get a matinee ticket for $5-$6, but nighttime shows are usually around $8-$10, depending on what city you are in and what theater you are at. It's ridiculous how high the prices have gotten. Students, children and seniors are usually able to get a discount, but it's not much.

In Indonesia. we paid Rp. 25.000 in Blitz Megaplex (I think is the best cinema in here), it's around 2.++USD. But in the other cinema, we just paid Rp. 15.000 or 1.++ USD. There's no different price in weekdays or special times.
