I don't think so. What my teacher has imparted us during my college days is that, " It is not a mistake if you were born indigent but to die as indigent too. Well I was really enlightened what she has implied is that poverty is the fate of those people who do not tresspass to their situation or seemingly contented with their own social status. Poverty is a foregoing issue needs to be addressed always to the Government sometimes it is pointless. The government cannot raise you up from poverty. Temporary assistance maybe. Youself is your own free weapon to strive for common good and to upgrade your life as well. Still hardwork and patience are the key components of building a quality and sustained lifestyle. Look for a job and then do your best all the time. Your effort to make a change will make this world out of the spirit of poverty. You how do you see poverty on your own perspective. For me, a motivation to get rid of it not tommorow but today.

Yup, it is not a hindrance and should not be treated like an infectious disease. people who suffer under the verge of poverty do not wish their life to be like that as they are still struggle to get a work a lot to sustain their situation. Though, if given much exposure to learning and many doorway of opportunity to open up their is a chance that their life may changes from poorer to comfortable life some day.
