Okay, so is the university of pheonix a legit online school? say i get my degree in el education...will i be hired as an elementary school teacher in a real public or private school? or will the future employer just look at my degree as a joke? If someone who graduated from Pheonix online please answer? or anyone who would have any further insight reply. Thank you very much.

I know that the school is legit. You can get your degree from University of Phoenix then you would have to take your state exam in order to teach. I know in Idaho you would have to go to a local college and get into their credential program which will take you another couple of years. I know that I have a degree in elementary ed, but I have to go back and get my credentials. Also, I am working towards my credential in Special Education. I cannot wait to attend school this fall to work towards my credential.

I'm pretty sure that University of Phoenix is a legitimate school. I wondered the same thing. Just recently when I was visiting my grandmother in oklahoma, I saw a University of Phoenix campus just around the corner from her house. I'm pretty positive that it is a legitimate school but if you don't feel comfortable about it I would just see if there are any schools in your area that offer online learning. That's what I did because I don't have to question if my school is legitimate but it's up to.
