Hi, We all have seen movies. Even those who consider watching movie is a waste of time, have seen couple of movies. Talking about me, I am totally crazy about movies. But not just any movie, sometimes, after watching one, I also feel I've wasted 2hours watching watching piece of garbage. Sometimes, a movie makes my day. There are some really encouraging statements. We often quote from the movies that impressed us to high degrees. "..the past can hurt. But, you can either run from it, or learn from it."- Lion King or funny quotes like, Lois Einhorn: I can make your life a living hell Ace Venturas: I'm not ready for a relationship right now lois -Ace Ventura Share with us your experience on movies. Tell us what kind of movies you like most and why and if possible also recommend some movies you've really enjoyed. God bless you all...

According to me, a good movie is the one should entertain people. It should attract most of the people. It may be either, comedy, action packed, love, sentimental, thriller, horror or whatever it may be.. but, somehow it should pull the people to theatres to watch that particular movie.. Such movies are all good movie..

Yes, there is no universal standards to measure about the movie. But, what is a universe? Its peoples like you and me right? Then, which movie is liked by most of the peoples, then it is said to be a good movie of that time..

Hi, I am sorry, but I can't agree with you on that. Even if an entire nation considers something cool, still I have to personally carry out some experiments and observations to come to a definite conclusion. I've never cared for what the MOST OF THE PEOPLE think. But that too is my personal style and shouldn't be considered absolutely bad or good. Thanks for the response God bless you

Yes I agree with you on that. But I can also see that there is no universal standard to measure how good a movie actually is. We may have opinions about a movie but can't say some other may like it. I've often loved movies that one of my closest friends hated the most. The "pull" you are talking about not only depends on the movie but on individual tastes as well. Thanks for the thoughtful response. Take care

Since you quote from movies, I guess it's the story and wordings that really interest you and made you feel the movie is good. The animated movie Spirit should be good to you too but I guessed you should have watched it already, old movie. And Spiderman and Ironman(not animated) took hints from Spirit as seen from their speech verse. I like National Treasures and Indiana Jones too. Sorry to mention all old movies. I don't fix to a certain type of movie and as long as it's good, it's good. So I can enjoy comedy, animation, action, horror, mystery soap, anything.

When it comes to movies, I become voracious. I also watch all sorts of movies. Well to me a there must be something to learn from a movie, otherwise, to me, its worthless. Yes, Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron is great work of art. Do you remember the song "You can't take me"? Ohhh there was a time when this song gave a huge adrenaline boost to me. National Treasure ... Hmmm.. Nicolas Cage... You like adventure huh? Its a marvelous film too. Have you seen Schindler's List? I'd recommend you see that movie and tell me if you like it. There is a very short speech by the main character Oscar Schindler ( by Liam Nesson) about the difference between Power and Justice. Ohhh I liked that part so much. Thanks for the response God bless you

Hello, That is one similarity we have. When I search for movies over internet or CD parlors I select them based on the actors. There are some actors I would really like to watch in movies. They have a few attributes that often suits the role that they play. When I find a movie with one of my favorite actors in it, I can surely expect the movie to be satisfying. Please recommend a few good movies you've seen. Thanks for the response Take care

I really love movies; Lion King is one of my favorites (I love Disney!). I want to become a screenwriter or director in the near future- I'm in college now and am moving to Los Angeles in a couple months...so I don't want to give out any of my precious ideas, lol. I grew up in southern california, and can't wait to get home!

Great!! I love Walt Disney's masterpieces. Actually I am collecting all of his works. They were wonderful and complete in all respect. I wonder how such decent and consummate piece of art can be created so that it lives forever. I am 26 and I still love those films by Disney. And I pity those people who act like a grown up and pretend to hate animation movies. Thank you so much for this sincere response. God bless you

I have two favorite movie. The one is The Shawshank redemption. It is the best movie I have ever seen. Everytime I watch it I learn something new. It is very emotional movie, the actors are great, Morgan Freeman is enough to say. This movie shows how strong can be faith and friendship. The second one for me is Gladiator. What can I say a about this movie. Just watch it. I like comedy too. I like actors like Martin Lawrence. Bad boys is my favorite and Big momma`s house.

Now that was a really wonderful and sincere response. We often watch the same movies again and again. This because there is something in that movie that makes us comfortable, or there is something positive that we want to remind ourselves again and again. These movies really, do last forever. Movies with content that involves victory of humanity over adversities soon become classics. Thanks for the response Take care

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. Like I've said earlier, it is totally dependent on individual tastes. I've also seen certain individuals prefer one to other types of movies depending on their moods. But whatever the mood is, the movie must be completely compatible with it. If the audience feels and sees himself projected in a certain role and in accord. Thanks so much for the response Take care

My idea of a good movie is all about fantasy. Things that don't happen in real life but happen in movies, like people having special powers or something from out of the ordinary happens that wouldn't really happen in the real world. I like to imagine myself in their places and see how cool it might be to be like that. Imagination is the key. The more a movie makes me imagine good things is the more I like about it.

Hmmmm, so you like those fantasy movies? I personally think they are encouraging in a sense that, there is a momentary way to get over human limitations and weakness. Fantasy movies serves good to release you from the lackluster world. You would wish something like that would happen to you, or you could possess at least one super power so that you can help others like that. Yeah, I know that feeling. Gives me an adrenaline pump too. Take care God bless you

My favorite movies are mostly, sci-fi, horror or action packed. Thus I really go for CGI movie such as Transformer, Lord of the Rings, X-men etc.. There are a couple of things that I look for in a good movie. With lots of actions, or based on true story (but not those slow pace movies which used the entire 2 hours to reenact something which can be done in 30 mins time), or one with a good story plot (and would be good if the story plot can actually be done in real life)

Hello, Yeah, like I said, Sci-Fi movies are nice fix to our prosaic day to day life. When I see action movies, I feel energetic too. I also hate slow movies. I especially like movies that have songs and music totally irrelevant to the story. Transformer, X-Men are cool series, especially X-men has lots of action and adventure. Did you watch Dark Night, the recent Batman film? Take care...

a good movie doesn't have to be big budgeted, or have fantastic special effects. the basic of a movie is from a story or script. it is true, a good story itself cannot make a good movie. it needs another elements, the director. how he manage to brings the story came alife, inserting humor here and horror there, another surprise and give us the story in a film set. that synergi creates a good film. and i guess that's why we know names like steven spielberg, james cameron, alfred hitchcock, and many more...

Hi, I really appreciate what you've just said. I totally agree. I also expect the actors to give their very best to the character they are impersonating. A movie should have a very definitive purpose, a goal or a philosophy to prove. Sometimes when I happen to watch a movie straying from its purpose every now and then, my finger automatically starts pressing the Forward key. Professionalism, dedication from all the people participating in the movie making, makes it complete. Take care... Welcome to MyLot

I like movies with action, which means a movie that makes my heart pump throughout the movie and actually give a damn for the characters role inside the the film. A recent movie like '2012' was indeed one of the best movies i have seen this autumn. Basically, '2012' struck me because of the massive amount of special effects there where in that film. You can tell that effort was put into making that film a success. Also apart from that, good actors is also a key to a good movie.

Hello there, People are telling me a lot about 2012. You are the 12th person in series. Is it that good movie? I don't give special effects much priority. But if you ensure me that there is some substance in that movie, I am definitely gonna watch it. I like action films too, but I don't prefer watching just any of them. Action with intelligence is what I like the most. Did you like the Bourne Series (Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy, Bourne Ultimatum ? Take care..
