Format a computer

If you are a computer enthusiast and likes to tinker with it, you surely have a big chance of being able to format a computer hard disk. I can format my own computer. I have my own way of doing my partitioning, so I always have my Hard Disk left unpartitioned when I buy new one.

Did it myself when I used XP or windows7, but never did it with a macintosh, but I like to do it myself so I know it is done the right way for a nice clean install.

Hello meetvivek, Normally I format my computer myself, but formatting is the last and only resort for me, and it is a real nightmare when I need to format my computer. I keep ready my OS CD, device drivers, antivirus software and immediately after formatting and installation of OS I update my Antivirus always. Normally I follow the on screen instructions provided by the bootable OS CD to successfully format my hard drive.

Yes i kow how to format and i had done for 3-4 times and whenever virus attacks my system and if it doesnt get out by any means I just format it....:-)

It is very easy to format the sysytem using DOS Prompt. So, whenver I will format my system I will do it using Command Prompt (DOS OS).

I prefer to do it myself. It's very time consuming but when I can't sleep and there really isn't anyone online, I will always have something to do. Keeping busy is key to keep me from going stir crazy. I don't do it very often as I don't have to, but when I do its just best to do it myself.
