I have some articles on Ehow and they are doing pretty well! People leave lots of comments and some rate well...
But my recent article only got one rating so far, and it was only 1 star! But my biggest issue with this is no comment was left! I think if someone is going to give me a bad rating they should maybe say why...maybe it's something I can fix!?
And it was an article I was actually proud of...I thought it was a good/important topic and I know all my info is true because it's based on my personal and work experience!
My name on Ehow is LilyoftheThorns and my article is title How To 'Help A Pet Gain Weight.' Look me up and add me as a friend if you have an account! And please read my article and tell me what you think of it, is there anything I can change to make it better!?
Thanks!!

It may have been something just as simple as that a large percentage of us are trying to get our animals to loose weight. A lot of American animals are overweight. The person may not have even read it and just put negative because everything they've read is about unhealthy and dangerous it is to have an overweight animal. Not realizing that many rescues are underweight.

Yeah, that would be annoying if that's the reason! lol. Because I got another article that was really popular at ehow deleted by the site for the same reason.

They let you add a little summary of your whole article that people will see..and in that I did say that my article was aimed at recently adopted or found underweight pets.
I'll see if I can figure out how to change the title and maybe make it a little clearer.
Thanks! :)

Maybe you should start your article with a disclaimer or explanation. Like: I know many people are trying to have their dogs loose weight because overweight animals aren't healthy, but for those of us who rescue dogs who are often dangerously underweight, etc. Maybe your titles could be more qualifying. Like: How to safely put weight on a starving rescue animal or healthy ways to help a starved rescue animal gain weight back. See what I mean? You will have to be very specific in your titles and opening paragraphs in college, too, so this will make you a better writer. Think of it as a challege. Of course, maybe like Mylot, they don't let you make very long titles.

to be perfectly honest some people on sites that that or even here on mylot will leave negative ratings just for the heck of it.
So personally aslong as you are happy with it then I wouldn't worry about any negatives ratings as its prob someone who just goes around leaving negative ratings there a few of those about
the only person's opinion that matters is yours.

Yeah, that's true. When I first started mylot that happened to me. I had a 10 star, left a discussion about it...all of a sudden it was down to 4! lol.
People like that are annoying! . I would be less worried about it if I had other ratings and comments lol. But this new one isn't getting as much traffic as my other articles.
