ptc who do people actually use them

I am totally mystified why people still use ptc. I guess every little helps but the money you get paid from hours of clicking can only be described as slave labour, am now knocking someone for using them just think their time could be more effectively spent. I joined a few ptc more for research than to make any money and they were paying around 1 cent a click if I was lucky for those that use ptc why do you bother spending your valuable time on them, for tiny amounts of money ?
