First of all you should be relaxed with your mind as well as body. Many times i tried to start reading whenever i dont get usual hour sleep. So, try this once if nothing is useful to you to get sleep at usual hour.

Hi samwon, Hope there are numerous thoughts running in your mind, Here is my suggestion, Take deep breaths, actually what I'm saying is the reverse. When we sleep we take deep breaths, when we are awake we can't do that normally, If you try to take deep breaths the blood pressure becomes normal and adequate blood flows to your brain and every parts of your body. So if you even keeping your eyes open and couldn't even able to sleep, try this practice, Your ody and mind will be relaxed and they'll be in rest. I think this is sleep Hope it helped

Hello. We really have the same problem. I am insomniac just like you and I've been asking other people about their secrets on how to have a good night sleep. I have even tried reading books related to this topic but I guess those things didn't work. But I won't give up. I will continue to search for better ways to make this sleeping problem okay.

Sleep, so important to everyone that 1/3 of our life would be spend on bed.So hv a good sleep play an important function. I suggest to drink a cup of milk very night before you go to sleep, and don't eat too many foods before go to sleep. Another tip is: carry good intention condition everyday. :) Hope you will be better.

This isn't my original idea but one that I learned in "Tools for Life." Don't watch news or news related shows for an hour before you go to bed. Turn the t.v. off a half an hour before you go to bed. Spend that half hour reading and make sure that you are not reading in bed. After the half hour read, go to bed. I had a lot of problems sleeping until I tried this method and it always works for me. If I'm traveling and DH has the tv on, I always take my cd player and play cd's of gentle ocean waves or ocean storms and it always puts me to sleep.

I used to be in this condition. Relax your mind is an important thing. Taking a bath or go out for a while to refresh is good too

Hi. I have the same problem. To remedy the situation, I go to bed early and listen to audio books over and over again. I make sure that I already know the contents of the audio book so that I would not be hooked listening to it all night.

Maybe having a hot shower, warm milk, or reading a book.
