I mean, do you sometimes feel tired of reading those long lines? or you prefer the short one but the detail is still there. honestly sometimes if i see the line is long it's like i'm gonna be lazy to read it. But if i'm in the mood im gonna do it. Hmmm well it depends on my mood. So how about you huh? like this one, this is not too long and not too short. Belle

Longer lines are always hard to read. They are against good writing techniques too. Any literature long or short should be divided into lines of adequate lengths and paragraphs. Each paragraph should have one idea and the writer should try to convey that part of his message in that paragraph only before moving on the the next idea and paragraph. That way it's interesting and easier for the reader to keep in the loop with the story / discussion. I write in that particular fashion and often find it more feasible than the other.

your definitely right. If you want something to clarify things, make it short so it's easy to understand. That's one thing. But i'm in the habit of reading novels, but it's just different here in mylot. because maybe I'm always sleepy when i open mylot. Because i'm about to sleep when i do online.

I don't mind either! I know at times that long discussions can be hard to read, they are just so long! Still, I make an effort and try to understand all the points that are being made and then I come up with an appropriate response. I think that when you are a typist there's definitely a tendency to create long discussions and I have been guilty of this in the past. That's life I suppose. My mood is always good when it comes to contributing on My Lot! Good luck with your own future discussions! Andrew

It doesn't matter whether it is long or short discussion as long as the idea is presented very well and is very comprehensive and easy to understood. And the reader will be able to think easily on what to respond about the topic discussed.

I prefer shorter ones and i love to finish the discussion in few lines and prefer straight to the point rather than expressing about all my neighbours and then come to me.i hate longer discussions and some times i dont mine going through if at all those longer ones belongs to my friends and are good ones with a catchy title.gud day.

Hi belle, i prefer short ones but i can't stop myself from reading a discussion that draws my attention even if it's lengthy. So it's the topic that matters and not the length.

Well, I must admit that shorter discussions are definitely better to figure out faster and with so many interesting discussions doing the rounds, most are prone to skip the long ones in favour of the short ones (me included LOL)…however, there are some here who are on my friend’s list and who never post any extra lines just to lengthen their discussions unnecessarily, so obviously whenever they are posting something long, I read right thru the end and reply back. And then there are some here who write beautifully…ever sentence in their post, whether long or short, is a joy to read and if I get suitable discussions from them, I read top to bottom.

i prefer short discussion only. because when it is very long you're not interested anymore because there are still other discussions to be answered. But when the topic is eyecatching or interesting, and you need to reveal the truths, i diligently read it and answer it in an accurate and short way.

Well, I think I prefer the discussion that I understand and know how to answer it. It doesn't matter if it long or short. Just if I'm understand what they ask and I know the answer then I will respond to that discussion.

Long or short 'discussions' depend upon the person we discuss with and the topic we are discussing.Sometimes short discussions can clarify in minutes. But sometimes we need some what a long explanation and description to understand better.then the discussion becomes long.

i myself like to read short discussions but in that short amount of words they put in they put enough detail for you to fully understand i dont like to read a super long line of words that lasts forever i just wanna get the point i dont wanna read a novel, you know? the only time i will read a long list of lines is if it is from my girlfriend

well, I think a short and to the point discussion is better than the long one. But again it depends on the knowledge on the topic.

I prefer to the short discussions much more. Because the long discussions are much more complicated, and sometimes I don't know what to say. The short discussions are easy for me to add my comments. I love China

I prefer the discussion to be just right which would be medium. There is enough information to know the writers point of view on the discussion. I would have to choose the short discussion is the one I prefer. I do read some of the long ones and answer them though.

Long discussions are boring for me. It's not attractive and very difficult to read. I tired of reading the same line many times. :(
