What is the safe way in lossing weight for children?

Weight problem has been great disaster to this generation for many years.If you go out to work,it will not be surprise for you to see so many unhealthy bodies walking around the streets.Hamburgers,French Fries,Soft Drinks and etc. are all taste good but unhealthy food for our diet.I hope that we can astart to do something more before it is too late.Because this problem is strating to affect our new generation and more fat boys and fat girls are appearing in the primary schools now.Children who can be weight over 100 lbs even when they are only in their fourth grade.It is horrible and if you have a good advice to that,many parents will thank you in myLot.

You are so right about so many children being over weight. I would start by eliminating all sweet, junk foods and drinks. Get them all out of the house. I would also stop going to fast food places. Take the child into the kitchen and allow him/her to help prepare the meals Start introducing them to fruits and vegetables. Get the kids out side to play and go with them. Get them to take walks and cut down on the amount of time they can spend on video games, computers and TV. Parents need to make these changes as well or the kids will rebel. And never but never tell a child that this food or that food is good or bad for them.

I just thought of something else. Don't use prepared foods because they are full of sugar and salt. Get your kids schools to reintroduce recess and allow the kids or encourage them to play vigorous games like jump rope and dodge ball or even follow the leader.

Mmmmm.....looks like you have already given all the great ideas.I think the parents should really pay attention for their kids diet and the kids surely need to do more exercise in nowday. I hope that the media and play more important and positive role in this issue as well.Because kids love to watch TV ,so why not use TV as a helpful tool in teaching the kids since nobody can stop their kids to watch TV anyway,

I think the best way for them to loose weight is play games...games which requires them to do physical activities...also making them join dance class or something like Karate class depending upon their interest will keep them healthy and help them loose some weight...the food will not matter if you can make them burn calories that they eat..but surely they requires nutrients rich food too...
