I've just had a week's annual leave but, because of the way the duty rota went,I have had 9 days of altogether. I had hoped to get a few days away - maybe Prague or somewhere for the Christmas markets - but, well, such is life - other commitments. Knowing it had been a less than exciting week, my son sent me a text in the middle of Friday night asking me to go to his place for about 3pm on Saturday & "dress smart". After a brief forray into the Christmas market there (in the pouring rain) he took me to a VERY nice restaurant where I blew the diet for the night and had a great time. Has someone surprised you with a treat that's "saved" your week?
