Travellers getting robbed

I personally know 3 people who were robbed in Spain - 2 of which were pickpockets.. Where else are troublespots? Does anybody have any stories of when they or their friends or family were robbed while overseas?

Nope and I don't have any similar story to tell and share inhere but like to respond to your good discussion to put up extra point why I always travel abroad through group package travel offered by travel agency. We walk in a group on tour at every hot tourist point in the country. The best thing is the tourist guide always remind us about to beware of pickpocket activity.

I agree with you about the travelling in a group and doing organised tours.. But I do find that alot of these tours involve "shopping" or "museum" trips that are based purely on taking you to the shops that the company will get a kickback from.. So its good for safety, bad for shopping...
